K–2 Grade Level Content Lead Assignment Summary: The TK–2 Grade Level Content Lead is a site-based, stipended teacher leadership role that exists to strengthen instructional excellence across early elementary classrooms (TK–2). Built on the belief that our greatest capacity for improvement lives within our own teams, each Grow Public Schools site will identify one Content Lead per grade level to partner with the Learning & Innovation team in deepening collaborative planning, building instructional coherence, and ensuring high-quality implementation of curriculum. Content Leads play a critical role in advancing Grow's vision of ensuring every second-grade scholar enters third grade with the ability to end the year as a fluent reader while building on our strong mathematics foundation to increase the number of scholars performing at high levels. Through collaborative leadership and a relentless focus on instructional quality, Content Leads help strengthen teacher practice and improve outcomes for every student. Key Responsibilities Engage and partner with fellow K-2 teachers to deeply dive into curriculum content and instructional practices to build strong content knowledge and pedagogical understanding Facilitate weekly grade-level internalization, data meetings and collaborative planning sessions focused on lesson preparation, instructional delivery, and student outcomes Collaborate with Content Leads across both sites to align expectations, instructional practices, weekly quick checks and curriculum implementation Support the development of shared norms and instructional coherence across classrooms within and across grade levels Coordinate alignment between network grade level leads around assessment and pacing for curriculum implementation. Serve as a thought partner to colleagues and site leaders in continuous improvement efforts for TK–2 instruction Help identify, analyze, and respond to instructional needs through collaborative problem-solving and reflection cycles Contribute to strengthening internalization structures that improve consistency, rigor, and student learning outcomes Participate in quarterly instructional walks to analyze implementation trends and support continuous development. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of curriculum, instructional practices and Science of Reading. Experience with data analysis and its application in instructional planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated Ability to mentor and support teachers in their professional growth. Commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom. Experience in a leadership role or as a department lead is preferred. Evidence of student growth on NWEA or Amira performance Anticipated Additional Duties ( ≈3.5 hours/week) ≈ 1 hour/week of meeting planning and preparation ≈ 1 hour/week communicating with department and across network ≈ 1 hours/week facilitating departmental planning meeting and/or data meetings 4 hours/quarterly K-2 meetings and instructional walks. Compensation $3,000/year (to be paid out in two installments: $1,500 December; $1,500 June)
