Job Title: Lifecycle & Content Marketing Lead

Location: Remote (United States)
Reports to: Vice President of Marketing
Employment Type: Exempt/Full-Time

About StrongMind:

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.

We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.

The Team You Will Join:

You’ll join StrongMind’s Marketing organization and shared Marketing Center of Excellence, supporting multiple business units, including Managed Schools and StrongMind Products.

You’ll work closely with Marketing leaders and shared Creative, Brand, Web, Digital, Production, and business-unit teams to build integrated campaigns and customer journeys across the full customer lifecycle.

The team is modernizing its technology and operating systems, building AI-native ways of working, and creating clearer ownership around the business outcomes Marketing drives. This is a hands-on, collaborative environment where you’ll have the opportunity to set strategy, build programs, optimize campaigns, and help shape how StrongMind connects with its audiences.

The Difference You Will Make:

In this role, your work will help StrongMind communicate with the right people, at the right time, with the right message.

You’ll build lifecycle programs and content experiences that move audiences from awareness to action—from helping families take the next step toward enrollment to supporting customers through a product journey, re-engaging audiences, and strengthening StrongMind’s presence across organic search and content channels.

You’ll bring together customer journey strategy, messaging, content, lifecycle marketing, conversion, paid media, and testing to create experiences that are more relevant, useful, and effective.

Most importantly, you’ll help StrongMind move beyond one-off communications and toward intentional customer journeys and campaigns that create measurable business impact.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

  • Build and optimize lifecycle journeys across email, SMS, nurture, onboarding, re-engagement, and retention.
  • Partner with Marketing and business-unit leaders to understand audiences, business goals, and funnel opportunities.
  • Develop paid digital strategies based on audience, business goals, funnel stage, geography, budget, and performance.
  • Advise on and support campaign architecture, targeting, bidding, budgeting, creative strategy, conversion tracking, testing, and optimization.
  • Build, launch, audit, and optimize campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads, Reddit Ads, and emerging platforms.
  • Analyze cross-channel performance and translate platform data into clear recommendations about where to invest, what to change, what to test, and what to stop.
  • Stay current on platform changes, advertising capabilities, measurement practices, privacy changes, and emerging channels.
  • Develop messaging and content strategies for campaigns, websites, landing pages, email journeys, and organic channels.
  • Review performance data to identify customer drop-off points and opportunities to improve messaging.
  • Write or refine copy for lifecycle programs, campaigns, websites, and conversion-focused content.
  • Build segmentation strategies based on audience behavior, lifecycle stage, interests, and customer needs.
  • Partner with Creative, Brand, Web, Production, and business-unit Marketing teams to bring integrated campaigns and customer journeys to life.
  • Develop and test subject lines, calls to action, landing-page messaging, nurture paths, and content formats.
  • Support AEO/GEO and organic content strategies to make StrongMind content easier to discover through traditional and AI-powered search.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose high-performing content across channels and audiences.
  • Use AI to accelerate research, drafting, personalization, testing, content optimization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Track results, share learnings, and continuously improve Marketing programs.

This role balances strategy and hands-on execution, creative thinking and data analysis, independent ownership and cross-functional collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys understanding what drives customer behavior and turning insights into action.

Your Expertise Includes:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 5+ years of experience across lifecycle, growth, digital, performance, content, or integrated Marketing.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing both lifecycle programs and paid digital campaigns.
  • Experience building and optimizing lifecycle or nurture programs.
  • Strong writing and messaging skills, with the ability to adapt voice and content for different audiences.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping, segmentation, conversion, and retention strategies.
  • Strong understanding of email, CRM, Marketing automation, and campaign performance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of major digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads and Meta Ads, with experience across additional platforms such as TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads, Reddit Ads, YouTube, programmatic, or emerging channels.
  • Experience building and managing paid digital campaigns, including campaign structure, objectives, audiences, keyword strategy, bidding, budgets, placements, creative testing, remarketing, lead generation, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising measurement, including conversion tracking, attribution, pixels/tags, UTMs, platform reporting, GA4, and core performance metrics such as CPM, CPC, CTR, CPL, CPA, conversion rate, and ROAS.
  • Ability to translate performance data into actionable business recommendations, channel strategy, budget decisions, and testing priorities.
  • Experience using data to improve content, messaging, customer journeys, and conversion.
  • Working knowledge of landing pages, CRO, SEO, AEO/GEO, and organic content strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with Creative, Web, Digital, Product, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong project ownership and follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities may evolve.
  • An AI-native approach to work, including using AI to research, write, analyze, test, personalize, and improve efficiency.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience in K–12 education or education-focused brands.
  • Experience with Customer.io, HubSpot, or similar lifecycle/CRM platforms.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising or emerging digital platforms.
  • Advanced GA4, attribution, or conversion tracking experience.
  • AEO/GEO strategy experience.
  • Conversion-focused copywriting experience.
  • Customer research experience.
  • Experience with monday.com or similar project-management tools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Equivalent professional experience and demonstrated results matter more than checking a degree box.
