Vanguard Renewables is a national leader in environmental services and the development of food and dairy waste-to-renewable energy projects. Through our innovative Farm Powered® platform, we build, own, and operate on-farm anaerobic digestion facilities that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, generate renewable energy, and support regenerative agriculture on partner farms.
As a portfolio company of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, Vanguard Renewables is continuing to expand its national footprint and advance the future of sustainable waste management and renewable energy.
We're seeking an experienced, strategic Key Account Manager to pursue high-value business opportunities, strengthen executive-level relationships, and secure major organic waste partnerships with leading food and beverage companies. This is an opportunity for a seasoned industry professional who understands complex sales, thrives on developing strategic accounts, and knows how to turn market opportunities into long-term business growth.
If you're ready to bring your industry expertise, strategic mindset, and relationship-building skills to a growing renewable energy platform, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do: Lead Strategy. Win Key Accounts. Create Lasting Value.
As the Key Account Manager, you'll drive strategic growth across assigned industry segments, pursuing major food and beverage accounts and securing organic waste streams for Vanguard Renewables' anaerobic digestion facilities. You'll work closely with internal teams to develop market strategies, establish trusted executive relationships, and position Vanguard Renewables as a leader in organics recovery and renewable energy solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive Strategic Account Growth: Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with key accounts across assigned industry segments, developing relationships that lead to new business and long-term partnerships.
- Develop Industry Strategies: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and execute vertical market strategies tailored to the needs of industrial food manufacturing, storage and distribution, retail, and other relevant sectors.
- Build Executive-Level Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key decision-makers at major food and beverage companies, positioning Vanguard Renewables as a trusted strategic partner.
- Become a Trusted Industry Advisor: Develop and communicate insights on market trends, emerging opportunities, competitive dynamics, operational challenges, and value-creation strategies within your assigned industry segments.
- Identify and Develop New Opportunities: Generate leads, cultivate prospects, and collaborate with internal teams to advance opportunities and expand Vanguard Renewables' customer portfolio.
- Deliver Integrated Solutions: Leverage your knowledge of waste and recycling services, organics management, transportation, and service equipment requirements to help develop solutions that meet complex customer needs.
- Collaborate Across the Business: Partner with internal stakeholders to align business objectives, coordinate sales opportunities, and transition service delivery and ongoing account management to regional teams.
- Leverage Sales Technology: Effectively utilize CRM and sales enablement tools to manage opportunities, maintain accurate account information, support transparent customer communications, and drive sales performance.
- Represent Vanguard Renewables: Build industry visibility and credibility through customer presentations, public speaking, professional networking, and engagement with key industry stakeholders.
