Role Overview Shape stronger, more sustainable pork production across Ireland and Northern Ireland. PIC is looking for a commercially minded Key Account Manager who can build relationships and trusted partnerships, identify growth opportunities and help customers realise the full value of world-leading genetics. You'll have a big picture view on pork production in Ireland and Northern Ireland This is an opportunity to combine strategic account leadership with practical industry insight, working closely with producers and colleagues across Northern Europe to deliver measurable customer and business impact. As Key Account Manager for Ireland and reporting to the Commercial Director for Northern Europe, you will own and develop relationships with strategically important customers, grow revenue and profitability, and identify new commercial opportunities. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will bring together customer insight, commercial judgement and PIC expertise to create solutions that deliver long-term value. This is a remote role based in Ireland, you will reside in and have the right to work in Ireland The salary for this role is circa €55,000 and €75,000 You Will Build and deliver strategic account plans that support customer goals and PIC profit targets. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Irish market and existing customer base. Grow sustainable revenue and profitability across assigned accounts and areas. Lead the negotiation, renewal and ongoing management of customer contracts, balancing commercial opportunity with appropriate risk management. Establish trusted, long-term relationships with key customers and influential industry contacts. Help customers realise the full value of genetic improvement through a consultative, insight-led approach. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and commercial plans for your area of responsibility. Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitor activity to inform commercial priorities. Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Genetic Services and Finance to deliver an effective customer experience and support strategic objectives across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Contribute to Northern European commercial strategy and support the Commercial Director with priority initiatives. Travel regularly within Ireland, with occasional international travel. Requirements Proven success in B2B sales, key account management or commercial relationship management within the pork industry Strong commercial judgement, with experience of growing accounts, negotiating agreements and managing contracts. The ability to build credibility and influence customers and stakeholders at different levels. A consultative approach, with the curiosity to understand customer challenges and translate insight into practical commercial solutions. Experience of budgeting, forecasting and using data to support decisions. Clear communication, presentation and influencing skills. The ability to work independently, manage changing priorities and deliver commitments across a geographically dispersed customer base. Confidence working collaboratively across functions, ideally within a matrix organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. A qualification in agriculture, animal science or a related discipline would be advantageous.
