Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: At Pentoz, we’re not just building products — we’re building infrastructure for the future. As a Kotlin Developer, you’ll be a core contributor to the systems powering our apps, platforms, and services across industries like IT, staffing, hospitality, and SaaS. This is your chance to craft clean, scalable, and mission-critical backend or mobile code using Kotlin as your main weapon. Whether you’re passionate about server-side development with Ktor, or Android development with Jetpack and Compose, we have ambitious challenges waiting for your code. You Will Be Responsible For: Core Kotlin Development: Writing high-performance, modular, and reusable Kotlin code for backend services or Android platforms. Scalable Architecture: Designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, or robust Android modules — depending on your domain expertise. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with designers, mobile engineers, and DevOps to ship integrated, polished products. Performance Optimization: Building efficient systems with strong focus on code quality, reliability, and scalability. Modern Tooling: Using tools like Gradle, Coroutines, Ktor, Retrofit, or Jetpack Compose based on your focus area (backend or mobile). Continuous Learning: Staying ahead with Kotlin trends, libraries, and best practices — and sharing knowledge with the team. This Role Is For You If: You have 3–6+ years of experience building apps or APIs with Kotlin. You’re confident in either: Android development using Kotlin (MVVM, Jetpack, Compose, Coroutines), or Backend development using Kotlin (Ktor, Spring Boot, Exposed, SQL/NoSQL databases) You write clean, testable, maintainable code with clear documentation. You thrive in an agile, remote-first, product-driven environment. You want to build real products — not just features — and take ownership of the outcome.
