This is a good opportunity for a compliance professional who wants hands-on exposure to merchant onboarding, corporate structures, and cross-border payments. 💼 About the Role As a KYC/KYB Specialist , you will verify individual and corporate clients in line with AML/CTF regulations , internal risk policies, and customer due diligence standards. You will help protect the company from financial crime, fraud, and reputational risk while supporting a smooth onboarding experience for legitimate merchants. The role involves close work with compliance colleagues and escalation of suspicious or high-risk cases to the MLRO. 🔍 Responsibilities Conduct KYC checks on directors, shareholders, UBOs, authorised signatories, and other relevant individuals; Perform KYB checks on corporate clients, including registration documents, ownership structures, licences, and business activity; Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening as part of onboarding and ongoing monitoring; Assess client risk and assign risk ratings based on the company’s AML risk methodology; Carry out Enhanced Due Diligence for high-risk clients, complex ownership structures, and sensitive business models; Review source of funds and source of wealth documentation to support risk-based decisions; Identify red flags, document findings clearly, and escalate suspicious cases to the MLRO; Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date customer due diligence files; Support periodic and event-driven KYC/KYB reviews for existing merchants. 🎓 Requirements 1+ years of experience in KYC/KYB, AML compliance, customer due diligence, or a similar role; Understanding of AML/CTF regulations, UBO identification, and corporate ownership structures; Experience using sanctions, PEP, or adverse media screening tools; Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail; Ability to assess risk and make clear, well-documented decisions; Fluent English, both written and spoken; Confidence working with high volumes of documents, cases, and sensitive information; High integrity, discretion, and a responsible approach to compliance work.
