About Wander
Travel is a $4 trillion industry running on software from the last century. We are fixing that. Wander.com is the leading marketplace for exceptional vacation homes with best-in-category guest satisfaction. WanderOS takes that same battle-tested engine and puts it in the hands of every property manager on Earth: conversion-optimized direct booking websites, automated guest marketing, and AI-powered distribution to millions of travelers. Operators own their brand, their bookings, and their guests. No middlemen.
Wander is led by a second-time founder and an all-star team from companies like Shopify. We are a Series B company gearing up for Series C, and product velocity has gone vertical: AI agents, payments, new distribution channels, and performance products, all shipping on a cadence most companies would call impossible. We call it Tuesday.
Our mission is to help people find their happy place. Our vision is to build the infrastructure for people to experience the world. If you want to make a dent in one of the largest industries on the planet, this is the place.
About the role
This is not a maintenance job. Product velocity at WanderOS (wander.com/os), the operating system for hospitality operators, has gone vertical, and product marketing has to accelerate with it. As our L7 Senior Product Marketing Manager you are the launch engine and the custodian of the WanderOS value propositions: every product and feature we ship gets a plan, a story, a video, an email, and full distribution, and you are the one making it happen on a relentless cadence.
This is an individual contributor position reporting to Wander's CMO. You will work shoulder to shoulder with Product, Design, Video, Sales, and Support to turn shipped code into awareness, adoption, and revenue. You will set the positioning, own the launch system, and be the person Product and Sales look to when it is time to tell the world what we built.
This role is remote across the US or Canada. If you are in Austin or San Francisco, we have offices waiting for you (SF is in the Presidio).
Level: L7 Senior Product Marketing Manager
Years of experience set the level. This posting is for L7 Senior:
- 7 to 10+ years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, travel tech, or property management software.
- You own positioning and the launch system end to end, with autonomy across multiple product areas.
- You lead through influence: Product, Sales, and the founder rely on your judgment, and you raise the bar for how the company launches.
If you have 10 to 13+ years and have built and led a product marketing function, apply to our L8 Director of Product Marketing posting instead. Title, scope, and compensation are set by level.
What you'll do
Own positioning and messaging
- Be the custodian of the WanderOS value propositions: define differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks that make the value obvious to every operator segment, from independent hosts to large property management and hospitality businesses.
- Develop points of view for product-specific buying personas and the content that influences them.
- Own buyer segments, operator personas, and the competitive landscape, and feed them into product strategy.
Run the launch engine
- Own execution of our tiered launch system. Tier 1 launches (six-week lead time): full launch video with shorter cuts for ads, dedicated product sub-page, dedicated emails to customers and prospects, distribution across every relevant channel, full sales enablement, and a full launch plan. Tier 2 (two weeks): shorter or animated video, dedicated email, one-pager for Sales and CS, social posts. Tier 3 (one week): dedicated customer email or inclusion in the monthly product update.
- Lock launch dates with product owners and run cross-functional launch readiness across Product, Design, Video, Sales, Partnerships, Growth, and Support. Multiple launches per month, every month.
- Craft messaging frameworks, creative briefs, launch scripts, sales enablement kits, operator testimonials, and website content that translate features into operator outcomes.
Own product communications
- Own how WanderOS talks to existing operators: release announcements, feature spotlights, in-app messaging, changelogs, and email updates that drive feature adoption.
- Translate complex platform capabilities (AI agents, payments, distribution, performance) into clear, benefit-led narratives that support expansion and retention.
Immerse in the data
- Define and track KPIs across awareness, adoption, activation, and retention for every launch. Analyze product usage, funnel performance, and competitive trends.
- Run win/loss analysis and operator research and feed it back into messaging, prioritization, and the roadmap.
AI reflexivity
- As everyone at Wander must, you have a keen interest in AI and are proficient in the ways AI can amplify your impact: research, drafting, video, analysis, and automation of the work that used to eat your week. You will also be marketing AI products to operators, so you need to understand them deeply.
Communicate and influence
- Equip Sales with positioning, battlecards, and enablement. Build high-trust relationships across Product, Sales, Growth, Lifecycle, and Support so every launch lands.
- Communicate plans, impact, and market insights to the CMO, Product leadership, and the founder. Socialize what is working across the organization.
Be the voice of the operator
- Talk to operators constantly. Know their workflows, their language, and their economics, and advocate for their needs inside product planning.
Qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, travel tech, or property management software, with a significant track record of launches that drove measurable adoption and revenue.
- Proven command of positioning and messaging, and the ability to turn a complex platform into a story an operator gets in ten seconds.
- You have owned product communications and release messaging that drove real feature adoption.
- Data-first analytical thinking: research, segmentation, funnel analysis, and performance measurement inform your decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can write the script, the email, the deck, and the one-pager, and you are a practiced storyteller who builds empathy for the operator.
- Deep understanding of platform-led growth and the operational realities of the businesses our customers run.
- Self-starting, you thrive on change rather than endure it, and you are resilient and resourceful in the face of ambiguity.
- Hardcore. You set a high bar, move fast, and ship.
Additional assets
- Background in travel, hospitality, vacation rentals, or property management.
- Experience marketing operational or workflow software, or AI products, to business users.
- Familiarity with modern product analytics, A/B testing frameworks, CRM segmentation, and lifecycle marketing. HubSpot experience a plus.
- Prior entrepreneurial experience: you ran a business, founded something, or were early at a startup.
- A personal mantra of owning your own development. Tell us the courses, books, or mentors you used to level up your craft.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $135,000 to $165,000 USD. This is Series B startup market rate for the L7 Senior level, with placement in the range based on experience and location. Canadian offers are calibrated to local market rates.
- Meaningful equity. You will own a piece of what you build.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Remote-first across the US and Canada, with offices in Austin, TX and San Francisco (Presidio) if you want a desk.
