About the Role
Join a labor and employment litigation team handling complex matters for public entities and private clients. You will independently manage a full caseload and contribute to litigation and employment law counseling across California.
What You'll Do
Independently manage a full labor and employment litigation caseload.
Handle depositions, trials, arbitrations, discovery, and motion practice in state and federal courts.
Defend and prosecute discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour class action matters.
Respond to EEOC and California civil rights agency charges and represent clients in administrative proceedings.
Advise public entities and private clients on federal and state employment law compliance.
Work with partners and senior counsel on client matters and travel throughout California for depositions, trials, and meetings.
What We're Looking For
At least 6 years of labor and employment litigation experience, with the ability to manage matters independently.
Experience handling depositions, trials, arbitrations, and motion practice, as well as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour class actions, and agency proceedings.
An active California Bar license and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Experience counseling public entities and private clients on employment law compliance.
Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and document management systems.
Willingness and ability to travel throughout California. A portable book of business is expected at the Senior Counsel level.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range is $200,000 to $270,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote. Wednesday is a required in-office day. The primary location is Oakland, California, with San Diego also available as an office location.
