Job Overview
Volta is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Land Agent to join our growing team. In this role, you will support land acquisition and right-of-way activities for energy and infrastructure projects, working directly with landowners, stakeholders, and project teams to negotiate agreements and secure the land rights necessary for successful project development.
The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, skilled negotiator, and relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and evaluate land acquisition and right-of-way opportunities for energy and infrastructure projects.
- Engage with landowners and stakeholders to negotiate and secure leases, easements, rights-of-way, and other land agreements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, clients, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal project teams to support project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of landowner communications, negotiations, agreements, and project activities.
- Identify and proactively address land-related challenges to support efficient project execution.
- Ensure activities align with applicable regulations, client requirements, and company standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in land acquisition, right-of-way, real estate, or contract negotiations preferred.
- Experience in renewable energy, oil and gas, transmission, pipelines, or BESS projects is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
- Willingness and ability to work remotely with regular travel to project sites, including weekly travel as needed.
Compensation: $300.00 - $450.00 per day
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
