Landscape Architect
Design Diverse Projects | Shape Growing Communities | Collaborative Team Environment
We're seeking a Landscape Architect who wants more than just production work. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful residential, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional projects while working alongside planners, civil engineers, and designers in a highly collaborative environment.
You'll play an active role in transforming concepts into built environments, from initial site planning and visioning through agency approvals and final design documentation. Whether you're an early-career landscape architect looking to expand your project exposure or an experienced designer ready for greater responsibility, this role offers strong mentorship, career growth, and a seat at the table in shaping communities.
What You'll Do
- Design outdoor environments for residential, mixed-use, commercial, institutional, and land development projects.
- Create site plans, landscape plans, planting plans, graphics, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Participate in projects from conceptual planning through construction documentation and approvals.
- Conduct site evaluations and environmental assessments to support project planning and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers, planners, and project teams to create integrated design solutions.
- Attend client meetings, public meetings, and agency coordination sessions.
- Support entitlement, permitting, and approval efforts with local jurisdictions and review agencies.
- Develop visually compelling graphics and presentations using industry-standard design software.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
- Help shape sustainable, functional, and aesthetically engaging places that enhance communities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Experience in landscape architecture, land planning, or site design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong graphic and visualization skills using Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience preparing landscape plans and development-related design documents.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, planners, architects, and clients.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Land F/X.
- SketchUp proficiency for 3D modeling and visualization.
- Adobe Illustrator experience.
- Familiarity with local development review and permitting processes.
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment control principles.
- Interest in mentoring junior staff and contributing to project leadership.
Why Join?
- Work on a diverse portfolio instead of being limited to a single project type.
- Collaborate directly with engineers, planners, and decision-makers on impactful projects.
- Gain exposure to all phases of the design process, from concept through approvals.
- Join a growing organization where your contributions are visible and valued.
- Work alongside long-tenured professionals who actively support mentorship and development.
- Enjoy strong benefits, including a profit-sharing retirement program.
- Participate in a culture that emphasizes professional growth, collaboration, and design excellence.
Work Environment
This role offers a highly collaborative environment where landscape architects work closely with civil engineering and land development teams. You'll report directly to an experienced senior landscape architect while collaborating with fellow designers on a diverse range of projects.
The organization combines the stability of an established firm with the close-knit culture of a growing team. Open communication, mentorship, and professional development are highly valued, creating an excellent environment for long-term career growth.
Perfect for a Landscape Architect who wants meaningful project involvement, strong mentorship, exposure to land development and site design, and a clear path toward increased project leadership and professional growth.
