Overview
The Lead Accountant is responsible for the technical integrity of the accounting function for assigned clients. This role owns the accuracy of the General Ledger, performs the first-level review of all month-end work, coaches Accountants, identifies financial risks before they become client issues, and drives consistency across our engagements.
The Lead Accountant serves as the technical expert for the accounting team while modeling our core values: Ownership Mindset, Coach, Seeks Understanding, and In It Together.
Success is measured not only by accurate financial statements, but by developing stronger accountants, improving processes, and ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality financial information every month.

What Success Looks Like:
Financial Quality
Accurate general ledger, audit-ready reconciliations, high-quality financial statements, low volume of review corrections, and timely month-end completion.
Team Development
Improved Accountant and Senior Accountant performance, reduced recurring errors, effective coaching, active knowledge sharing, and positive collaboration.
Client Success
Accurate and timely financial reporting, early identification of financial risks, consistent accounting practices across clients, high client confidence, and strong partnership with Supervisors.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent — qualified, or substantially progressed toward qualification.
• Demonstrated full-cycle accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prior experience reviewing the work of other accountants, or documented readiness to perform first-level review.
• Hands-on proficiency in Sage and QuickBooks Online.
• Working knowledge of Financial Cents or a comparable workflow management platform.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement mechanics
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments preferred
• Experience with intercompany accounting and eliminations required
• Familiarity with OpCo / PropCo structures strongly preferred
• Experience supporting investor reporting, lender reporting, or asset management functions preferred
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Reliable high-speed internet, a suitable private workspace, and a power continuity arrangement adequate for uninterrupted month-end close work.

Compensation:
Starting $1,500
Position has the possibility of a pay increase with promotions and increase in duties.
Overtime hours pay offered for high performers.
