Lead Architect (Senior)

Morreon is building an AI-native engineering and project management company for the European energy transition: battery storage, EV and e-truck charging, grid and substation work, with adjacent data center and manufacturing projects. We've closed our angel round and are ramping up our in-house engineering team. As Lead Architect you own the architectural discipline end to end: designing industrial buildings and site layouts, and building the team and AI tooling that make that work faster and better.

What you'll do

• Drive in-house and outsourced architectural engineering across our projects: layout planning, industrial building design, permitting (Bauantrag), fire and egress concepts, clash coordination.
• Act as end-to-end Project Manager on selected projects, owning scope, schedule, budget and client interface from FEED to inspections.
• Feed your discipline expertise into our developer team so our AI tools genuinely support architectural workflows and output.
• Build up and lead our in-house architecture team as we scale.

What you bring

• 5+ years on data center and/or industrial projects.
• Bauvorlageberechtigung in Germany: you are entered on the Liste der Bauvorlageberechtigten of an Architektenkammer and can sign submissions yourself.
• Permits you have personally submitted and coordinated end to end on data center or industrial projects, from the pre-application meeting through to the Baugenehmigung.
• Hands-on command of the relevant 3D design tools: Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper, Navisworks, and visualization (Enscape/Twinmotion).
• Demonstrated leadership: your own team or managed external resources.
• Strong cross-discipline, interface and holistic project thinking, from FEED through to inspections.
• Willingness to challenge traditional ways of working and apply AI thinking.
• Freelance involvement as a starting point is possible.
