Fuse Games. A love of games and a love of making games.

We understand deeply how games are made from the simple starting points of a one-line idea, through concept, prototyping, pre-production and large scale, multi hundred-person development teams.

This understanding is underpinned by the huge value of building high-performing teams. We work hard to lead, grow, develop, and fuse our people together with a clear vision and aligned constraints that are guided by our shared values. Bringing energetic, creative collaboration with a sense of urgency is essential to everything that we do.

At Fuse it’s important for us all to create a space for everyone to feel safe and included in order to be responsibly open, generous and to be their best selves. We encourage curiosity to embrace diverse perspectives, being humble, and leading by example.

“An Exciting Opportunity!”

We are looking for creative, collaborative and passionate people with a growth mindset to help us build amazing games. For us, software is key, and we need talented folks who are happiest in engine exploring, ideating, sharing and with a sense of urgency. The games industry is an ever-evolving fast moving one, so we’d love to have people on board who are unafraid to adapt, grow their skills and push both themselves and how we make games at Fuse.

What a Lead Audio Designer does at Fuse Games:

As Lead Audio Designer at Fuse, you will be a key collaborator on the audio team, and a critical part of delivering world-class audio experiences in our games. Ideally, you’re an audio generalist who likes to get involved in multiple areas and loves to be in engine. Audio is incredibly important to the game experience, and we are passionate about delivering world-class audio to our players.

From recording to sound design to implementation, you will be helping on a large part of the game’s creation. You’ll be working together with designers, programmers, and producers to craft the best experience possible, while working with the rest of the audio team to define and deliver an outstanding audio experience for all our games.

In a Lead role you will work with the Audio Director to define and achieve the audio vision for the game that best serves our player experience. You will be responsible for the team’s delivery of best-in-class SFX, both in design and implementation, working with and helping to guide the rest of the audio team to achieve this.

Please note this role will not involve any music composition.

We are looking for talented folks with a growth mindset and must be highly competent in these areas:

  • Knowledge of industry standard audio tools (ideally Reaper)
  • Knowledge of game engines (ideally Unreal)
  • Understanding of sound design techniques and mixing practices
  • Working as part of a collaborative team that is generous with and responsive to feedback

Additional attributes we also appreciate:

  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to take initiative and produce results
  • Love of audio and games
  • Passion for pushing audio quality and implementation techniques
  • Previous AAA game development experience
  • Any specific audio expertise, such as recording/mixing/implementation
  • Prior experience in leadership or mentoring roles

What’s in it for you? Glad you asked!

We realise it takes world-class people to make world-class games, so we offer competitive compensation packages and a culture that thrives on creativity and individuality.

We know we’re making games differently now and understand that family is important so offer flexible working hours and a hybrid culture that allows everyone to find the right work/life balance.

In addition, we want people to grow and expand their horizons, so we promote a culture of learning and offer opportunities for people to learn new skills.
