Job Summary

The Lead Business Analyst is a senior individual contributor and functional lead on the Resort Application Development (RAD) Marketing & Finance (MarFin) team. MarFin supports the applications behind season pass and lift ticket sales, payments, pass campaigns (Auto-Renew, Final Pay), Mountain Money, pass partnerships and the financial data that flows to Accounting.

You will be the primary link between business stakeholders, operations and technology partners. You will keep these applications, their integrations and their data stable and performing, and keep them improving. You will move between business analysis, quality assurance and production support as priorities shift. You will also be the team's quality champion and a mentor to other analysts.

The team owns production support, incident response, enhancement delivery, technical debt reduction, modernization and performance work for systems that front-line resort operations depend on. Success requires strong leadership and communication, technical depth, and comfort balancing planned work with unplanned production issues.

Mentor and coach Business Analysts and QA Analysts, set and model best practices, and act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for MarFin applications. (This is a functional lead role with no direct reports.)
  • Own production support and incidents: Lead triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and stakeholder communication. Take part in the on-call rotation. Use SQL extensively to investigate issues, analyze data anomalies and validate fixes.
  • Deliver enhancements: Gather and document requirements, write and refine Jira stories with clear acceptance criteria, and help prioritize the backlog with business and IT partners.
  • Analyze integrations and systems: Trace behavior across databases, APIs, integration platforms and batch jobs, in both legacy and cloud-hosted environments. Support deployment and configuration activities.
  • Champion quality: Plan and perform QA, UAT and regression testing, validate releases in production, and run stakeholder demos.
  • Support batch, reporting and data operations: Support scheduled jobs, ETL, reporting, reconciliations and financial data investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify and lead work that improves stability, performance and automation and that reduces technical debt.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced SQL: writing queries, reading stored procedures & troubleshooting scripts, and analyzing data in relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
