About the Project

Grid Dynamics is looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst with hands-on Order Management System (OMS) and retail experience to join an exciting digital transformation project for a leading UK retailer.

The project focuses on modernizing the client's Order Management System and implementing a modern, API-first OMS platform.

You will play a key role in defining the future OMS solution, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst.
• Hands-on experience with at least one OMS implementation or discovery project (Fluent Commerce, Manhattan, IBM Sterling, Kibo, OneStock, Salesforce Order Management, or similar).
• Strong understanding of retail and e-commerce business processes.
• Experience with omnichannel order management, including order processing, inventory availability, fulfilment, delivery, click & collect, returns, and refunds.
• Experience conducting fit-gap analysis and defining business requirements.
• Ability to lead workshops and communicate directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with BPMN, Jira, and Confluence.
• Fluent English for communication with UK stakeholders.
• Availability to work during UK business hours.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce.
• Experience with commercetools or other composable commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of payment processing, fraud prevention, and marketplace integrations.
• Experience with complex retail processes, including special orders and store fulfilment.
• Experience defining MVP scope and contributing to project estimation.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities during the OMS discovery and implementation phases.
• Conduct workshops with client stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine requirements.
• Analyze existing order management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform fit-gap analysis between business requirements and OMS platform capabilities.
• Design as-is and to-be business processes using BPMN.
• Define MVP scope, business requirements, and Jira epics.
• Prepare functional documentation in Confluence.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, and other Business Analysts.
• Support solution design, estimation, and implementation planning.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
