Lead Civil Engineer (Land Development)

With a strong and growing Civil Infrastructure portfolio nationally and across South Australia, we are seeking a Lead Land Development Civil Engineer to join our Adelaide team and play a key role in delivering local and interstate projects. How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next? In this senior role, you’ll lead the delivery of land development and civil infrastructure design projects , combining technical excellence with project and client leadership. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, you’ll help shape practical, high ‑ quality outcomes for a broad range of projects across civil, land and water infrastructure. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring engineers within the team and building strong, long ‑ term client relationships, winning team workload and contributing to the continued growth of Aurecon’s Land Development capability. Here are the key things you’ll do to bring ideas to life: Lead and deliver land development and civil infrastructure design projects Oversee the preparation of civil engineering designs, drawings and technical documentation Provide technical leadership across: Roads, drainage, earthworks and municipal works, Water and sewer reticulation, Civil site and industrial infrastructure projects Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including SA Water, councils, and key authorities Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to team capability uplift Collaborate across South Australia and interstate teams (VIC, QLD, WA) Ensure designs comply with Australian and South Australian standards, council requirements and authority approvals What we’re looking for: Degree in Civil Engineering Strong experience in land development and/or civil infrastructure design Demonstrated experience working within the South Australian market (highly desirable) Strong understanding of: SA Water standards and requirements, l ocal council and authority approvals, p roven ability to lead projects and mentor engineers Experience across the full project lifecycle (design through to construction) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Technical capability: Design experience across roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and civil infrastructure Proficiency in design tools such as 12D and/or AutoCAD Strong understanding of Australian standards and local SA authority requirements How will your future be shaped by us?
