WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are seeking experienced Lead Data Analysts to drive the data and analytics agenda across one of our Areas within Commercial. In this role, you’ll lead complex, high-impact analytical initiatives and represent data analytics in the wider Commercial domain, from shaping the data roadmap and setting KPIs to delivering production-ready solutions and strategic recommendations that guide key business decisions. You’ll ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture across the team and beyond.

In addition to the responsibilities above, your role will include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and product leaders, shaping strategy and priorities through insights on customer behaviour, commercial and product performance.
  • Envision, articulate and own a data and analytics roadmap that aligns with organisational goals and future tech trends.
  • Lead the KPI-setting work for your area and beyond, ensuring measurement frameworks and event tracking align with and contribute to strategic business goals.
  • Lead complex, high-importance analytics projects end to end, from exploratory analysis and proof of concept to A/B testing, productionising, roll-out and scaling, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Tackle difficult business problems where no good solution exists yet, using advanced methods such as quasi-experiments when a complex roll-out makes standard testing impossible.
  • Implement new use cases, including AI: explore large datasets, test new algorithms and prompt engineering approaches, evaluate model outputs and ensure solutions are production-ready and scalable.
  • Work closely with solution architects and data engineers on the data architecture and data modelling for your domain, ensuring data quality, accessibility and reliability.
  • Stay hands-on with SQL, Python and tools such as BigQuery, dbt, Looker and Power BI to explore, model and visualise data and communicate insights.
  • Lead other data analysts on complex projects and mentor colleagues within and beyond your area, championing best practices through demos, documentation and walkthroughs, including coaching on data storytelling.
  • Promote a data-driven culture and act as a leader in the analytics Community of Practice within Commercial and across H&M Group, fostering shared learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join a global, cross-functional team committed to delivering exceptional digital experiences through close collaboration, user-centric design and continuous iteration. As Lead Data Analyst, you’ll represent data analytics for your area and partner closely with other product teams within the global digital experience organisation, data and tech colleagues such as solution architects and data engineers, as well as senior business stakeholders and decision-makers.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with…

  • Experience from product or business analysis, customer or commercial analytics, management consulting or data engineering, including leading complex, high-impact analytics initiatives.
  • Proficiency in SQL and good working experience with Python or R, git, dbt and cloud analytics environments such as GCP or Databricks.
  • Previous experience within ecommerce, retail, fashion or tech product-driven companies.
  • Academic degree within Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering (or similar), or equivalent working experience.
  • Expertise in data visualisation tools and techniques, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio.
  • Strong theoretical and applied knowledge of statistics and expertise in at least one advanced analytics field, such as experimentation, quasi-experiments or backtesting.
  • Proven ability to independently take a solution from A to Z exploratory analysis, proof of concept, A/B testing, stakeholder alignment, productionising, roll-out and scaling.
  • Extensive knowledge of data product development and a good understanding of AI, data science and data engineering work.
  • A proven track record of delivering innovative, impactful data and insights that drive key business decisions at a senior level.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across different competences (Commercial Leads, eCommerce Managers, Product Managers, Developers, Designers, Data Engineers etc.) in a large matrix organisation.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to lead and influence decision-making on large, key initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment, also outside your own domain.

And people who have…

  • Experience working in agile, iterative product development environments.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven attitude with the ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts constructively and build alignment across areas and stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and the drive to spot, explore and test emerging methods and technologies relevant to H&M, and to lead their adoption.
  • A passion for data advocacy, automation and continuous improvement, always looking for ways to raise data literacy and enhance the team’s ways of working.
