  • Provide technical leadership to mechanical engineers, designers and external consultants.
  • Coordinate with electrical, CSA, architectural and construction teams to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
  • Manage design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project programmes, budgets and technical requirements.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor design submissions, identifying technical risks and resolving design issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Swedish and European building regulations, industry standards and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, client presentations and value engineering workshops.
  • Support procurement activities through technical evaluations and equipment selection.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and project handover.
  • Drive innovation, energy efficiency and sustainable mechanical design solutions.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in mechanical building services design, ideally within Data Centres, mission-critical facilities or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proven experience leading mechanical design packages and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Strong technical knowledge of:

  • HVAC and ventilation systems
  • Chilled water and cooling distribution systems
  • CRAC / CRAH units and precision cooling
  • Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
  • Pumps, pipework and associated mechanical equipment
  • Energy efficiency and cooling resilience
  • Experience managing mechanical design activities from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering design software, such as Revit, AutoCAD and BIM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of European mechanical design standards and relevant Swedish regulations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within demanding project schedules.
