Are you an experienced developer interested in building high-quality software and contributing to critical applications that support the efficient, reliable, and secure operation of the Nordic power grid? If you are looking to make an impact in supporting the green transition of the energy sector across Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, you might be the person we are looking for.

Join a fast-developing Nordic company and become a part of an agile environment, where we develop innovative solutions. Nordic RCC is an important contributor to the green energy transition, supporting the Nordic transmission system operators in ensuring efficient and secure operations of the Nordic electricity power system.

As part of our continued growth, Application Development is expanding significantly. We are strengthening our department with two Lead Developers and five Senior Developers, creating exciting opportunities to join a growing team and help shape the future of software development at Nordic RCC.

Your role

As a Lead Developer in Application Development, you will join a collaborative department of approximately 23 developers who design, develop and maintain the internal applications supporting our current and future business services. If you are curious about Nordic RCC and what we do, learn more about our innovative solutions on the Nordic RCC webpage.

Your role combines hands-on development with broader technical leadership. You will work closely with Application Architects to help define and communicate technical direction, translate architectural principles into practical solutions and promote consistency across our application landscape.

You will connect technical expertise across teams, identify shared challenges, and contribute to reusable, sustainable solutions. Through cross-departmental collaboration, you will build alignment around technical opportunities, constraints, and impacts across the organization.

What you will do :

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C# and .NET, while promoting consistent standards, code quality, maintainability and operational stability
  • Contribute to improving system architecture by identifying areas for technical refinement, refactoring, or modernization
  • Collaborating across the organization, represent Application Development by collaborating with Product Owners, Delivery Management, testers, Quality Management and other departments
  • Set and communicate technical direction with Application Architects, translating architectural principles and business needs into practical solutions and Architecture Decision Records
  • Connect technical expertise across teams and applications, enabling collaboration on dependencies, common challenges and reusable solutions
  • Support operational excellence by helping diagnose and resolve production issues and continuously optimize existing systems
  • Share knowledge and technical expertise supporting colleagues’ professional development and help strengthen development practices across the team. This role does not include formal line-management responsibilities

Technology Stack:

  • Primary languages and frameworks  C#, .NET, SolidJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Functional programming, Python
  • Architecture, design patterns & integrations  Clean Architecture, SOLID, Event-driven Architecture, Message-driven Architecture, REST APIs
  • Databases & storage Relational databases (SQL Server), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), GridFS, S3
  • Infrastructure & Platform (on-prem)  Kubernetes (on-prem), Docker, Rancher, Prometheus/Grafana, ArgoCD, NginX
  • Tooling and collaboration  Git, Visual Studio, VS Code, JetBrains Rider, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Collaborative Attitude: You will be working closely with our team of Application Architects, shaping architectural decisions for supporting maintainable, scalable and robust systems
  • Technical Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
  • Proven Expertise: Minimum 5 years’ experience as full-stack developer in C# for the .NET platform. Experience providing technical guidance, facilitating technical decisions, mentoring colleagues, or coordinating development activities is a definite plus.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with functional programming, Clean Architecture principles, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes and Scrum processes
  • Energy Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the power systems domain is a plus but not required

If you do not tick all the boxes, but think you could be a good match, don’t hesitate to apply for this position.

What We Offer: A Flexible and Inclusive Workplace

You will join a diverse organization of 23 nationalities, where inclusivity is celebrated, with more than 30% women on board (and a commitment to improving this balance). We are located in Copenhagen Towers office in Ørestad, with the flexibility to balance on-site and remote work 2 days a week.

At Nordic RCC, we live by the values of fellowship, curiosity, respect, and transparency—values defined by our employees that shape how we collaborate and innovate. If you see yourself thriving in such an environment, we’d love to hear from you.
