Are you an experienced software developer with a passion for building high-quality applications? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working closely with business experts to create solutions that support the efficient, reliable, and secure operation of the Nordic power grid? If you are looking to make an impact in supporting the green transition of the energy sector across Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, you might be the person we are looking for.

Join a fast-developing Nordic company and become a part of an agile environment where we develop innovative solutions. Nordic RCC is an important contributor to the green energy transition, supporting the Nordic transmission system operators in ensuring efficient and secure operations of the Nordic electricity power system.

As part of our continued growth, Application Development is expanding significantly. We are strengthening our department with five Senior Developers and two Lead Developers, creating exciting opportunities to join a growing team and help shape the future of software development at Nordic RCC.

Your role

As a Senior Developer in Application Development, you will join a collaborative team of approximately 23 developers. Together, you will design, develop, and maintain internal applications that support our current and future business services. Working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, operators, and UX specialists, you will help translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

You will be part of an application team that values sustainable solutions over quick fixes. We actively collaborate across applications and business services to identify common solutions, increase quality, and continuously improve the way we work.

What You will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C# and .NET.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code following established design patterns and development standards.
  • Transform complex engineering and operational requirements into effective software solutions by collaborating closely with architects, product owners, engineers, operators, and UX designers to build solutions that meet business and operational needs.
  • Contribute to technical improvements, modernization efforts, and continuous optimization of existing applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and help ensure high quality, reliability, and maintainability across solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
  • Serve as a technical role model within the team and mentor colleagues who are developing their technical skills.
  • Stay current with new technologies, tools, and development practices relevant to Nordic RCC's technology landscape.

Technology Stack

  • Primary languages and frameworks  C#, .NET, SolidJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Functional programming, Python
  • Architecture, design patterns & integrations  Clean Architecture, SOLID, Event-driven Architecture, Message-driven Architecture, REST APIs

  • Infrastructure & Platform (on-prem)  Kubernetes (on-prem), Docker, Rancher, Prometheus/Grafana, ArgoCD, NginX
  • Tooling and collaboration  Git, Visual Studio, VS Code, JetBrains Rider, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Collaborative Mindset: You work closely with Application Architects, Product Owners, and fellow developers, contributing technical expertise, mentoring colleagues, and helping to ensure maintainable, scalable, and robust solutions.
  • Technical Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Expertise: Experience developing enterprise-grade applications in C#/.NET, with a solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modern development practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: You identify opportunities to improve code quality, system reliability, team practices, and developer productivity.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with functional programming, Clean Architecture principles, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes and Scrum processes.
  • Energy Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the power systems domain is a plus but not required.

If you do not tick all the boxes, but think you could be a good match, don’t hesitate to apply for this position.

What We Offer: A Flexible and Inclusive Workplace

You will join a diverse organization of 23 nationalities, where inclusivity is celebrated, with more than 30% women on board (and a commitment to improving this balance). We are located in Copenhagen Towers office in Ørestad, with the flexibility to balance on-site and remote work 2 days a week.

At Nordic RCC, we live by the values of fellowship, curiosity, respect, and transparency—values defined by our employees that shape how we collaborate and innovate. If you see yourself thriving in such an environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Note that as part of the recruitment process, the candidate must undergo a satisfactory background check. The position is also conditioned upon a national security clearance. Both will be facilitated by Nordic RCC. You can read more on security clearance here. Please also note that the process includes that any spouse, registered partner, cohabitant, steady partner, co-resident, child over 18 living at home and parent with the same address as the candidate must also consent to be examined.

Application deadline and contact information

Please apply online (in English) no later than 15/11-2026. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis up until the right candidate has been found.

To ensure a fair and unbiased recruitment process, we kindly request that you do not include photographs in your CVs or application materials.

A cover letter is not required, but we kindly ask you to include a few sentences in your CV explaining why you are interested in the position. Applications are only accepted through our online recruitment system.
