We, Teltonika Telematics, are currently establishing a new Firmware development team and looking for a hands-on coding Team Leader to join our growing R&D team in Vilnius / Kaunas, Lithuania. You will be leading this project from both team establishment and technical perspectives. You are expected to code, maintain the architecture, and coordinate and execute tasks within the team.

Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective fleet management across logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more. Using the latest technologies, Teltonika sets new standards for the telematics industry.

Teltonika provides an opportunity for every ambitious Embedded Systems Developer to improve their skills and develop comprehensive knowledge of products.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in team expansion and development, including hiring and mentoring.
  • Take a hands-on role in project implementation – provide technical solutions, develop and maintain code for new projects. As the team grows, your focus will gradually shift from coding to team leadership.
  • Take ownership of firmware architecture, technical decisions, and long-term maintainability.
  • Coordinate and plan projects according to the Agile (Scrum) framework.
  • Contribute to defining the team's technical roadmap and development priorities.
  • Establish and maintain high firmware development standards within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to company and team defined coding standards, documentation, and procedures.
  • Drive improvements in team performance and procedures.
  • Conduct team member performance reviews, support professional development, and set individual goals.

What we expect of you:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience programming embedded systems in C and C++ and remain hands-on with coding.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with partners and team members.
  • Demonstrate independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members.
  • Have expertise in multitasking, embedded system architecture design methodologies, and modern firmware quality standards.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD and proficiency in unit testing methods and frameworks.
  • Experience working with GSM, GNSS, BLE, and CAN technologies.
  • Experience in reverse engineering vehicle electronic systems, including central locking, alarm systems, and vehicle communication protocols.

What we offer:

  • Great opportunities to grow in a strong and rapidly expanding company.
  • Modern development environment where teams work with up-to-date technologies and practices such as unit testing, integration testing, simulations, and continuous improvement.
  • Interesting and ambitious projects of industrial GPS tracking devices.
  • Place where curiosity is key: here, we share knowledge and learn.
  • Dynamic, challenging work environment and cooperation-based internal culture.
  • Care about your emotional and physical well-being by offering flexible work schedules, hybrid work opportunities and health insurance.
  • Company-paid sports activities (basketball, football, volleyball, yoga) and other sports events.
  • Celebrating achievements and having fun together in team building, summer festivals, and other important occasions.
  • Opportunity for solid bonuses when participating in the recommendation program.
  • We delight with birthday and Christmas gifts and rewards on work anniversaries.
  • Office snacks.

The salary for this position ranges from 25 Eur/h up to 45 Eur/h (~4170 Eur – 7507 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get *bonuses.
