Main Responsibilities
Working closely with both domestic and overseas payroll teams, the primary responsibilities of this role include managing payroll operations in Japan, as well as time and attendance administration and employee relations/labor management. In addition to these core responsibilities, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure to a wide range of HR functions.
Note: Payroll processing is outsourced to an external vendor. Therefore, this role focuses on internal payroll administration and coordination with the global payroll team, rather than performing payroll processing operations directly.
- Payroll Administration
- A thorough understanding of the end-to-end monthly and annual payroll process is required.
- Time and Attendance Management
- Labor Relations and Workforce Management
- Including support for work style reform initiatives and addressing labor-related issues.
- Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Administration
- Including management of the matching contribution program.
- Workforce Planning, Staffing, and Budget Management
- Review, Design, and Administration of HR Programs and Policies
- Developing and managing HR systems and programs that align with changes in organizational structures, positions, and business growth.
- Planning and Managing Employee Events and Internal Programs
- Occupational Health Administration
- Including coordination with the Company Physician (Occupational Health Doctor).
- Other HR-Related Responsibilities as Required
