Job Description

A Day in the Life

As a Lead Engineer, Product Compliance, you will ensure that industrial automation and electronic products comply with global regulatory, safety, environmental, and certification requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will partner with engineering, quality, manufacturing, sourcing, and regulatory partners to support product certifications, risk assessments, compliance governance, and global product launches.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance and certification activities for our products.
  • Interpret and apply UL, CSA, IEC, EN, CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS, REACH and WEEE requirements.
  • Coordinate product testing and approvals with UL, TÜV, CSA and Intertek.
  • Support recertification, compliance maintenance and engineering change assessments.
  • Partner with Hardware, Firmware, Software and Mechanical Engineering teams.
  • Conduct design reviews, compliance assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Prepare and maintain Declarations of Conformity, certification reports, technical files and safety documentation.
  • Support environmental compliance programmes including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals and PFAS.
  • Participate in hazard analysis, FMEA and product safety reviews.
  • Provide mentoring on compliance best practices.

The Essentials – You Will Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Instrumentation Engineering, or related Electrical/Electronics disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Engineering, Product Safety or Certification Engineering.
  • Experience with global certification agencies and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of product development and NPI processes.
  • Knowledge of product safety, risk assessments and regulatory frameworks.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

  • Experience in Industrial Automation, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, Controls or Industrial Communication products.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61010, UL 61010, IEC 61131, IEC 61508, IEC 62368 and ISO 13849.
  • Exposure to Functional Safety compliance and certification activities.
  • Experience with Windchill, Teamcenter or Agile PLM.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements supporting global product launches.
