JOB SUMMARY

Wissen Technology is hiring a Lead GCP Cloud Engineer to drive product engineering and cloud platform initiatives across enterprise-scale applications. The role focuses on designing, building, automating, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform while leading engineering teams and ensuring operational excellence across product lines.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and administration (10+ years cloud engineering experience)

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for container orchestration and production workloads

• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), reusable modules, and cloud automation

• Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline design, deployment automation, and release management

• Cloud Run and Cloud Functions for serverless application deployment

• GCP Networking, IAM, VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL administration

• Docker, Kubernetes networking, Helm charts, autoscaling, and troubleshooting

Optional Skills (Good to Have)

• Microsoft Azure cloud services and migration experience

• Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting for automation

• DevSecOps implementation and cloud security tooling

• Monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring and logging solutions

• Cost optimization, capacity planning, and FinOps practices

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

• Leadership: Proven experience leading and mentoring cloud engineering teams

• Ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple product-line deliverables and end-to-end cloud initiatives

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication with business and technical stakeholders

• Problem Solving: Ability to manage competing priorities, production incidents, and ad hoc requests effectively

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable GCP infrastructure using Terraform and automation frameworks

• Lead GKE platform administration, containerized deployments, and cloud-native modernization initiatives

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and DevSecOps best practices

• Implement and optimize Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, and Load Balancing services

• Drive cloud security, IAM governance, monitoring, availability, and cost optimization initiatives

• Collaborate with application, network, security, and product teams to deliver business-critical solutions

• Lead incident management, production support, root cause analysis, and operational improvements

• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud engineering programs
