Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supports the maintenance of the University's HRMS content and the integrity of employee records in compliance with established procedures.
  • Creates employee records in the HRMS.
  • Assists in the testing, implementation, and ongoing operational support of HRIS and HRTS applications.
  • Performs quality control audits on existing database and is responsible for integrity of employee data.
  • Serves as a departmental resource and troubleshoots unusual data entry situations, problems, and payroll-related issues.
  • Acts as a liaison with IT staff in resolving HRIS-related issues.
  • Interprets Emory's employment and pay policies including leaves, promotions, transfers and terminations for division human resources representatives.
  • Monitors audit reports.
  • Maintains working knowledge of general benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations and compensation principals and their impact on data in the HRMS.
  • Collaborates with Emory schools and divisions to ensure employee data is processed and issues are resolved for biweekly and monthly payroll deadlines and the issuance of annual tax documents.
  • Conduct monthly trainings and prepare training materials.
  • Collaborate to produce quarterly HR Data Services newsletter to keep campus informed of process/procedure changes.
  • Works with campus human resources representatives and provides training on relevant topics.
  • Maintains knowledge of US visa types to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Form I-9 and work authorization. Provides employment verification.
  • Researches and resolves errors in the data used for institutional reporting.
  • Oversees various quality assurance activities.
  • Works with General Counsel to respond to subpoena requests and maintains documents pertaining to litigation holds.
  • Responsible for reciprocal I9 processing for CUPA institutions.
  • May assist with coordination of special projects and or quarterly/ annual events.
  • Trains and mentors HRCS Specialists.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related customer service or help desk experience (preferably with human resources information systems), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
