Lead Instructional Designer (Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) Overview We are seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to drive the strategy, design, and development of high-impact, adult-learning-based product enablement and sales effectiveness training. This role will primarily lead the creation of interactive e-learning and some occasional classroom-style (ILT) experiences that support sales and customer-facing teams in a SaaS environment. Key Responsibilities · Lead the design and development of engaging e-learning courses using Articulate Rise and Storyline · Apply adult learning (andragogy) principles to create effective learning experiences · Design and develop learning guides, workshop materials, and learning aids as necessary · Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to transform raw content into compelling, memorable, and impactful courseware · Drive end-to-end instructional design processes using ADDIE or SAM methodologies · Mentor junior designers and developers · Ensure consistency in Esker visual design, branding, and learning standards · Support certification programs and assessment for customer-facing roles · Continuously evaluate and improve training effectiveness Must-Have Skills & Experience · 5–8 years of instructional design experience · Expert-level proficiency with Articulate Rise and Storyline · Strong background in adult learning theory (andragogy) · Experience designing interactive, high-impact e-learning · Strong understanding of SCORM, x-API/Tin Can, and related learning technologies for interoperability · Strong visual/illustrative design skills · Strong video editing, voice over, and language translation experience AI and tools · Experience working in agile environments (ADDIE, SAM) · Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and SMEs · Experience in SaaS and GTM processes Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience · Experience leading or mentoring teams · Background in sales enablement or customer training · Familiarity with LMS platforms and analytics · Experience with multimedia production Languages · Fluency in English is required. · Knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese, or French is a plus.
