Lead IT – Barcelona (Hybrid)

At isardSAT, we develop innovative scientific and technological solutions for Earth Observation. We’re looking for an experienced IT Lead to take ownership of our IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable and scalable systems that empower our scientific, R&D and corporate teams.

💻 YOUR MISSION

You will lead the evolution of our IT infrastructure, combining strategic planning with hands-on technical expertise to deliver secure, efficient and reliable IT services.

🔧 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and implement IT strategy aligned with business and R&D needs.
• Manage and evolve our infrastructure across servers, networks, operating systems and cloud environments.
• Ensure system availability, performance, scalability and service continuity.
• Drive cybersecurity, information protection and IT policies.
• Provide IT support to internal users and scientific and technical teams.
• Manage external IT providers and optimise IT services and costs.
• Support development, data and computing environments.
• Define the IT roadmap and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

🎯 WHAT YOU BRING

• A degree or master’s in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or a similar role.
• Previous experience as an IT Lead, Senior System Administrator or equivalent.
• Experience managing hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows, networking, systems administration and cybersecurity.
• Advanced proficiency in both English (minimum C1 level) and Catalan (minimum B2 level) is essential.
• A proactive, organised and service-oriented mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have: AWS, Azure or GCP, automation and scripting, CI/CD and HPC environments.
