Job Description - Sr. Java Developer

Preferred: Immediate Joiners / TN Candidates

Location: Coimbatore (Hybrid Work Model)

Experience: 6+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build and enhance distributed systems using Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
• Manage project dependencies and build processes using Maven.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Automate application deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using Chef and Ansible.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS Cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, security, and best practices.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and streaming solutions.
• Proficiency in Maven for build and dependency management.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD implementation.
• Experience in configuration management and deployment automation using Chef and/or Ansible.
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Grafana, or Splunk.
• AWS certification is an added advantage.
