We're in search of a highly skilled Lead JavaScript Engineer who's passionate about crafting dynamic, responsive web and hybrid-mobile experiences. In this role, you'll apply your deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to produce fast-loading, search-optimized, mobile-first interfaces. Your focus will be on building web experiences that feel just as polished and native as mobile apps, while fine-tuning performance across both desktop browsers and mobile web views, including iOS Safari. By working in close partnership with backend developers, UX designers, and product owners, you'll turn interactive design concepts into clean, modular, reusable front-end code.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop fast, responsive web applications leveraging React and Next.js, making full use of capabilities like SSR, SSG, and API routes
- Bring mobile-first, pixel-precise designs to life across every device type, with special attention paid to refining layouts, animations, and touch-based interactions for mobile browsers on iOS and Android
- Handle intricate client-side state through tools like Redux, Zustand, or Context API, while connecting applications to backend REST or GraphQL APIs
- Analyze and fine-tune application performance to maximize load speed, strengthen Core Web Vitals metrics, and ensure smooth rendering even on less powerful mobile hardware
- Produce clean, well-structured, testable JavaScript and TypeScript, lead detailed code reviews, and help grow the team's shared UI component library
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in contemporary web development, concentrated on delivering user-facing functionality
- A minimum of one year spent leading and overseeing development teams
- Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React, applied to construct scalable, dependable front-end systems
- Real-world experience with Next.js, covering either the App Router or Pages Router, plus working knowledge of Server Components
- Comfort working with modern CSS approaches such as Tailwind CSS, styled-components, or CSS Modules to establish and maintain cohesive UI styling
- Background optimizing web applications for mobile browser environments, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), or embedding web views inside hybrid mobile wrappers
- Proficiency with Git for source control, combined with practical experience operating within Agile or Scrum development cycles
- Confident English communication skills at a B2 level or higher
