Job description

As part of the Central MDM Team, you will help establish and operate The Company’s centralized master data governance model, with shared accountability for governance, standards, data quality, prioritization, escalation and cross-stream coordination. You will translate governance policies into practical SAP processes and controls, improve material master data quality, and support the data foundation required for the N.E.O. program, SAP CPQ and Variant Configuration. You wil collaborate across Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, Warehouse and Logistics, with responsibilities allocated according to business priorities, workload and expertise. Business streams remain accountable for creating and maintaining their data, while the Central MDM Team sets the rules, monitors quality and coordinates cross-stream decisions.


  • Central MDM Team accountability: Work as part of the Central MDM Team and contribute to its governance, data quality, prioritization and escalation mandate.
  • Governance and standards: Jointly define, maintain and enforce SAP standards, field specifications, naming conventions and decision rules across all business streams.
  • Workflow ownership: Design, maintain and monitor material creation, change and obsoletion workflows, including approvals, oversight and escalation.
  • Data quality and cleanup: Profile material master data, identify duplicates and critical gaps, coordinate cleansing and enrichment, and verify migrated or newly created records.
  • Team workload and continuity: Share and rotate work based on priorities, workload and expertise; maintain common documentation and provide coverage for one another to ensure consistent service.
  • Business enablement: audit compliance
  • Business enablement: Onboard and train stream data owners, stewards and super users; and escalate persistent breaches.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Clarify the source-of-truth relationship between all connected systems and coordinate cross-stream master data issues and decisions.
  • Reporting: Support data readiness, standard routings and BOM structures, and maintain dashboards, KPIs and prioritized remediation backlogs.


Requirements

  • Best practice in SAP Master Data Governance / Management
  • Managing teams of 2-5 members
  • Knowledge of SAP – S/4 in an engineering & manufacturing environment
  • Driving change management at multi-national company
  • SAP master data
  • Material creation, change and obsoletion workflows
  • Increase data quality within the organization
  • Reporting: Data quality controls, dashboards and KPIs
  • Process documentation, training and change adoption
  • Master Data completeness and accuracy

  • On-time Project data readiness
  • Train the trainers


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years in SAP master data, data governance, data quality or business process design.
  • SAP expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP master data; knowledge of MM and PP, BOMs, routings, workflows and mass maintenance.
  • Data skills: Office package (Excel and data analysis skills); reporting/dashboard experience is an advantage.
  • Business environment: Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, Engineer-to-Order or Configure-to-Order environments preferred.
  • Working style: Structured, analytical and pragmatic, with attention to detail and the ability to explain data issues in business terms.
  • Communication: Fluent English and confidence collaborating with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, IT and Logistics stakeholders.
