Job Summary: Our client, a global industrial manufacturing company, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support electro-mechanical products throughout their lifecycle within a collaborative and innovation-driven engineering environment. This hybrid role (3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week) is primarily focused on sustaining engineering, product support, engineering changes, manufacturing support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, while also contributing to product design and development activities. The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and solving technical challenges in a fast-paced industrial environment. Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related environments. • Experience supporting electro-mechanical products, assemblies, or industrial equipment. • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar platforms. • Exposure to engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, ECR/ECO activities, or product change management. • Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, or cross-functional engineering teams. • English communication skills. • Interest in sustaining engineering, product support, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement activities. Knowledge: • Mechanical product design and development fundamentals. • Engineering drawings and GD&T principles. • Product lifecycle and engineering documentation practices. • Manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability concepts. • Root cause analysis and technical problem-solving methodologies. • Electro-mechanical assemblies or industrial products. • Familiarity with PLM or ERP systems such as SAP, Windchill, Team center, or similar systems is a plus. Competencies: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills. • Eagerness to continue growing technically. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic engineering environment. • Hands-on engineering mentality with attention to detail. • Team-oriented and adaptable. • High level of ownership and accountability. Responsibilities: • Lead sustaining engineering activities and continuous improvement initiatives for electro-mechanical products and assemblies. • Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. • Support engineering changes, product updates, and manufacturing-related activities. • Troubleshoot technical, manufacturing, or product-related issues and support root cause analysis activities. • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and operations teams. • Support prototype builds, supplier coordination, validation, and product implementation activities. • Participate in product design and development activities for new and existing products. • Contribute to product optimization, manufacturability, reliability, and long-term product support initiatives.
