Overview Sedaro is hiring a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer to build the high fidelity simulation software that powers our cutting-edge simulation platform and help transform how aerospace technology is built. Team: Modeling & Simulation, reporting to the Team Lead Location: In person in Arlington, VA Ability to obtain a TS security clearance Who We Are Our simulation platform enables digital mission engineering and model-based optimization through distributed, multi- domain , rapid analys i s across hundreds of interacting systems. Our simulations have run at massive scale in data centers, in the loop with hardware in the lab, and on-orbit onboard real space hardware. Who You Are You are a self-driven and creative engineer with a passion for solving complex problems. You take pride in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build robust and scalable simulations. You thrive on technical challenges and take pride in owning your work from concept to implementation. You are a natural collaborator, adept at working with interdisciplinary teams to build and refine cutting-edge software in a fast-paced, innovative environment. What You'll Do As a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer, you will be a hands-on individual contributor focused on expanding our platform's simulation capabilities. Your responsibilities will include: Taking ownership of technical projects and driving development. Developing high-fidelity simulation software and analysis tools for a diverse range of complex systems and validating these models against real-world data. Configuring and executing large-scale multi-simulation studies that leverag e cloud compute resources for uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and optimization. Performing code review for peers and providing technical feedback and suggestions to other engineering teams to drive platform improvement. Supporting contract meetings with technical input and demonstrations to external stakeholders.
