About the Role

We're looking for a Motion Designer to own the quality and execution of our video creatives. This role is responsible for producing high-performing video ads while serving as the final quality gatekeeper, ensuring every creative meets our visual standards, maintains a consistent brand identity, and is optimized for performance across paid social channels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor 5 freelance editors, ensuring consistent quality, feedback, and adherence to creative standards.
• Act as the final quality gatekeeper for all video creatives before publication.
• Create and edit high-performing video creatives for paid advertising.
• Ensure subtitles, pacing, transitions, sound, and overall editing meet Hungry Minds' standards.
• Create motion graphics, animations, and visual hooks that improve ad performance.
• Elevate UGC footage through professional editing and visual storytelling.
• Collaborate with Creative Strategists, Designers, and Producers to bring creative concepts to life.
• Maintain editing workflows, templates, and best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion design and video editing.
• Expert in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong motion design, animation, and video editing skills.
• Excellent eye for pacing, storytelling, typography, and visual composition.
• Experience creating high-performing creatives for Meta, TikTok, and other social platforms.
• Strong quality control and attention to detail (subtitles, audio, color, timing).
• Ability to provide clear feedback and mentor freelance editors.
• Understanding of performance marketing and creative testing.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Background in advertising, creative agencies, or performance marketing preferred. E-commerce experience is a strong plus.
