Lead Neuropsychologist

Is this job info correct?

Lead Neuropsychologist Our Company At Isaac Health, we’re on a mission to improve brain health at the population level by providing greater access to specialty brain health and dementia care services for all. We believe that everyone everywhere deserves to get the care they need, and are striving to make care convenient and accessible while tackling the stigmas that surround brain health conditions. Since launching in 2022, Isaac Health has scaled to provide brain health and dementia care services to more patients and families across the US. With support from leading healthcare investors, and impactful leaders like you, we’ll continue to provide high-quality patient-centered care for the evaluation and management of brain health conditions and deliver exceptional patient and family outcomes for years to come. With a heavy focus on clinical quality and safety in all that we do, we’ve accomplished excellent outcomes for our patients: 92% of patients report an improvement against their cognitive goals in only 3 weeks after working with Isaac Health. 73% of patients or their care partners continue to report improvement in neurocognitive symptoms after 6 months. 70% of patients remain engaged with Isaac Health after 6 months. This is just the beginning for Isaac Health, and we won’t stop building, growing, and iterating until everyone, everywhere can access high-quality, evidence-based brain health and dementia care without high costs or long wait times. To learn more, visit www.myisaachealth.com. The Role Isaac Health is hiring a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist to carry a full evaluation caseload and lead its neuropsychological evaluation program. The Lead Neuropsychologist owns the standards for what we test and how, supervises the psychometrists who administer testing, leads the Lead Psychometrist and the psychometry team directly, and is accountable for the quality and timeliness of every evaluation we produce. You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and, as the program grows, lead additional neuropsychologists. This is a clinician’s role first. Four days a week you will conduct formal neuropsychological evaluations with psychometrist support; one protected day a week you will supervise, teach, consult with our neurologists and other clinicians, and run the program on your own authority. Our greatest demand is in New York, and that is where you will start. We are a startup. The team is lean, the systems are still being built, and the program will change under your leadership more than once. If that sounds like the environment where you do your best work, keep reading. Because we practice in every state, this role requires the ability to practice in every state we serve. You must hold a psychologist license in a PSYPACT-member state that is your state of primary residence, and hold PSYPACT authorization (E.Passport and APIT) before you start. A New York license is required as well, held at hire or obtained in your first months with us; licenses in California, Oregon, and the other non-PSYPACT states follow on a schedule we agree together. Isaac Health pays for all of it. Licenses already held in New York, California, or Oregon are a real advantage. What You Will Do Own the neuropsychological evaluation program: referral criteria, test batteries, tele-administration protocols, test security, and report standards. Conduct formal neuropsychological evaluations four days a week, with psychometrist support. Lead the psychometry team, including the Lead Psychometrist, with accountability for their performance and development, and supervise their clinical work. Own the quality and turnaround of every evaluation the program produces. Consult with neurologists, geriatricians, and advanced practice providers on test selection and what results mean for a patient. Teach: lead education on neuropsychological assessment for the wider clinical team. Keep the team productive, motivated, and clear about what excellence looks like. Who You Are Required Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program, accredited internship, and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. Current ABPP board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology. Active, unrestricted psychologist license in good standing in a PSYPACT-member state that is your state of primary residence, with PSYPACT authorization obtained before your start date; a New York license held at hire or obtained within your first months. Substantial experience evaluating adults with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and other neurocognitive conditions. Experience with tele-neuropsychology, including psychometrist-administered testing under remote supervision. Demonstrated supervision of psychometrists and leadership of clinical staff. An exceptional colleague: the interpersonal skill to lead a clinical team well, the professionalism expected of a senior clinician, and the accountability to own results. Strong teaching and educational skills. Able to work independently and reliably, closing loops without being chased. You thrive in a dynamic startup environment. Preferred Four or more years leading psychometrists, neuropsychologists, or other clinical staff. We care about what you have done more than the count. A current New York license. Licensure in California, Oregon, Massachusetts, or other non-PSYPACT states. Experience building or scaling a psychometrist-supported evaluation program. Strong foundations in practice management and an instinct for what makes operational, financial, and clinical sense at once. Experience in value-based care or population health for older adults. Scholarly work in tele-neuropsychology or cognitive assessment in dementia. Strong public speaking skills. Based in the New York City metropolitan area, in New Jersey or Connecticut. We strongly prefer a leader who can spend regular in-person time with our clinical and executive team; candidates elsewhere should expect to be with us in New York at least quarterly. What We Offer Base salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 for full-time employment, exclusive of equity and benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed range; consideration will be made for experience, training, leadership track record, licensure position, and other factors. Stock options under our equity compensation plan, with a choice between an equity-forward and a salary-forward structure. This is a leadership role in a company that is still early; the equity is meant to matter, and we will show you the math. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k). Flexible paid time off and continuing education reimbursement. All state licensure, renewals, PSYPACT, and board certification maintenance fees paid by Isaac Health. A purpose-built, data-enabled EMR and a clinical operations team that removes administrative work from clinicians rather than adding it. A seat at the table for strategic decisions about how brain health care is delivered nationally. Start date: Immediate, upon completion of credentialing and licensure prerequisites. We are filling this role now. Who We Are (Our Values) Patient and Family Focus – relentless focus on advancing the quality of care, clinical experience, patient safety, and the quality of life of those we serve Ethics and Integrity – do what is right and demonstrate ethical principles, even when no one is watching Commitment – accountable for fully delivering on commitments to our patients, their families, and each other Impact and Quality – make a positive impact and deliver high-quality outcomes, based on sound data and evidence Compassion – act with empathy, compassion, and kindness; listen to acknowledge and understand; cultivate psychological safety with patients and colleagues Collaboration – achieve our goals together as a united team, strengthened by mutual openness, trust, and diversity of thought Thoughtful Innovation – continuously evolve our ability to deliver on our mission, prioritizing long-term, strategic bets over short-term gains Isaac Health takes diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging in opportunity seriously. We seek to build a creative, productive, forward-thinking, inclusive team that reflects the diverse communities we aim to benefit because we know that will allow us to do our best work. Isaac Health is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodation to qualified applicants and employees with disabilities. Any offer is contingent on successful completion of credentialing.
