Job Title: Lead Pricing Analyst - Household
Target Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available
Salary Range: £55,000 - £72,000
Location: Hybrid, Eastleigh once a month

Lead Pricing Analyst - Household: As a Lead Pricing Analyst, you'll own and drive key areas of pricing activity, taking responsibility for projects and workstreams from initial investigation through to recommendation, approval and implementation.

You'll combine strong technical analysis with commercial awareness, helping Ageas understand market trends, competitor movements and pricing performance, while identifying new opportunities to improve our pricing approach.
You'll also help develop and support Pricing Analysts within the team, providing guidance on their work and helping build technical capability across the function.

This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and provides the opportunity to influence strategic pricing decisions that directly impact business performance.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, proactive and commercially aware.
You'll enjoy getting underneath the detail of a problem, understanding what's driving performance and challenging conventional thinking to identify better ways of doing things.

Main Responsibilities as Lead Pricing Analyst - Household:

  • Lead and deliver pricing projects and workstreams to agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Investigate complex business challenges and develop innovative, data-driven pricing solutions.
  • Develop and present pricing proposals that balance growth, competitiveness and profitability.
  • Support strategic decision-making through sophisticated actuarial and statistical analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for new rating factors, enhanced methodologies and alternative pricing approaches.
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Actuarial and Implementation teams to deliver pricing initiatives.
  • Coordinate stakeholders throughout the pricing process, ensuring the right governance, approvals and sign-offs are in place.
  • Support the deployment and implementation of pricing changes into live environments.
  • Develop, validate, review and approve predictive models.
  • Maintain and enhance pricing and monitoring datasets.
  • Analyse portfolio performance, customer behaviour and market dynamics to inform pricing decisions.
  • Coach, support and develop Pricing Analysts and Senior Pricing Analysts.

Skills and experience you need as Lead Pricing Analyst - Household:

  • Ideally household pricing experience, but must have general lines experience.
  • Experience using Databricks, or Python, R or other statistical programming languages.
  • Experience with Radar, Earnix or equivalent rating software.
  • Strong data manipulation and programming skills.
  • Experience using analytics and modelling techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, planning and organisational skills.
