Humana is a $100+ billion, Fortune 50 healthcare leader dedicated to improving the health and well-being of some of the most vulnerable populations in the United States, including seniors, people with disabilities, and lower-income Americans. Humana is uniquely positioned to transform healthcare delivery by making high-quality care more affordable, accessible, and secure through integrated healthcare services, innovative technology, and data-driven solutions.
To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking a Lead Product Manager to support the continued development, adoption, and expansion of Humana's enterprise Next Best Action (NBA) decisioning platform. This role serves as a key member of the NBA Product team, helping define and evolve the platform capabilities that enable personalized, data-driven member experiences across channels and lines of business.
The Lead Product Manager will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering, architecture, analytics, and user experience teams to translate strategic objectives and emerging business needs into scalable platform capabilities. This individual will balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform evolution, ensuring the NBA platform continues to deliver business value while maintaining consistency, reusability, and operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for candidates who have partnered with business and engineering teams to define, deliver, or optimize customer decisioning and personalization capabilities, including solutions built on platforms such as Pega CDH, Adobe RTCDP, Salesforce Einstein, RTIM, or similar.
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate new business use cases and engagement opportunities against existing NBA capabilities to determine whether requirements can be met through current functionality or require new platform investments.
- Identify capability gaps and emerging needs as NBA expands across channels, lines of business, products, and member interactions.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer needs, and operational challenges, translating those inputs into scalable platform capabilities.
- Contribute to product discovery efforts by identifying common patterns across use cases and recommending reusable solutions that improve platform scalability and reduce duplication.
- Define and manage features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation priorities for enhancements to NBA platform capabilities, including decisioning logic, eligibility criteria, prioritization frameworks, business rules, constraints, and governance controls.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, analytics, and user experience teams to evaluate solution approaches, dependencies, technical tradeoffs, and implementation considerations for new platform capabilities.
- Own and prioritize product backlogs for assigned NBA scrum teams, ensuring alignment with product strategy, roadmap priorities, business value, and technical needs.
- Serve as Product Owner for assigned scrum teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, acceptance of completed work, and ongoing clarification of requirements.
- Evaluate competing business priorities, technical investments, platform improvements, and dependencies to make informed product decisions and maintain delivery momentum.
- Partner with the Principal Product Manager, NBA to translate enterprise roadmap priorities and decisioning strategy into actionable delivery plans and platform investments.
- Establish and monitor product success measures, using adoption, utilization, delivery, and stakeholder feedback metrics to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional discussions and drive alignment among business, technology, operations, and product stakeholders to advance platform objectives and resolve competing priorities.
- Partner with data science, analytics, and business teams to evolve decisioning strategies and ensure platform capabilities effectively support member engagement objectives.
- Act as a champion for product management best practices, helping drive consistent execution, transparency, and continuous improvement across NBA product teams.
