Lead Project Manager for Offshore Wind

Due to our continued success and growth, we are searching for an experienced Lead Project Manager to be a part of the Wood Thilsted team and to support the future development of the company.
Areas of accountability: As Lead Project Manager, your main assignment will be to successfully deliver and coordinate major WTG and OSS foundation design projects, in collaboration with in-house technical teams. In your role you will:
- Be the main client contact and provide the project leadership for detailed design projects delivering offshore wind farm foundation designs for high-profile sites.
- Strategically meet the project objectives and manage client expectations
- Be responsible for the project financial performance and commercial success of the project meeting performance expectations.
- Be accountable for technical integration across disciplines and for the final technical deliverables supported by discipline leads and design management
- Manage the contractual aspects and requirements, change, risk management, safety and budget across the scope, supporting and challenging the technical teams to deliver their best work.
- Work closely with the project design team, engaging in technical topics and key design decision making. You will have the pleasure of working with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
- Supervise and prepare detailed management reporting documentation regarding the development of the project requirements, programme, resource/budget, risk register and general project management reporting
- Regularly engage with clients and form a key contact between the WT team and external parties, actively working to deliver a successful project for all. You will play a part in developing our strong network in the industry and business development.
- Support senior management in WT and be a role model for development of the professional project management culture
The primary work location will be in either Denmark or UK, based in one of our local offices, with the opportunity to spend a portion of your week working from home.
As we are experiencing growth in the APAC regions, the ability to work out of one of our offices in APAC on short- and medium-term assignments with the primary work location being in Denmark or UK would be considered an advantage.
Your background:
Thriving in an international environment, with a strong drive to deliver and improve, you will take the initiative and responsibility for the variety of assignments Wood Thilsted can offer. Motivated by creating excellent results through teamwork, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be fluent in English, and use these to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively.
You have experience in managing major complex projects and 10+ years of relevant experience leading and taking accountability of detailed foundation design projects in offshore wind with international clients.
Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have:
- A degree (MSc or PhD) in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or a related field relevant for offshore wind.
- Broad technical knowledge of WTG and OSS offshore wind foundations and sector-specific engineering challenges
- Profound experience with contract and risk management
- Track record of senior stakeholder engagement and client relationship management
- Experience from a similar position in consulting engineering
- Very strong decision-making skills and judgement capabilities to balance and prioritise competing requirements
- A well-tuned sense of personnel needs and experience of achieving high levels of project team well-being
- A well-organised mindset, which can adapt to the dynamic needs of a high-growth company
