Lead Project & Program Manager
Location: Alphen aan den Rijn
Hybrid: 2 days/week in office
As a Lead Project & Program Manager, you will play a key role in driving a strategic, cross-functional transformation program involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and interdependent initiatives.
Beyond managing plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables, you will help create the conditions for the program to succeed. You will connect stakeholders, reduce friction across teams, bring structure to complex situations, facilitate decisions, and maintain alignment between strategic objectives and execution.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working closely with senior stakeholders and translating complex program information into clear, actionable insights and executive-level reporting.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Drive program alignment: Build and maintain alignment across business, product, technology, and other stakeholders around priorities, dependencies, decisions, and expected outcomes.
- Reduce cross-functional friction: Identify areas of misalignment, unclear ownership, competing priorities, or execution friction and proactively facilitate resolution.
- Navigate complexity: Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or complex situations, framing problems, identifying options, and helping stakeholders reach pragmatic solutions.
- Enable effective decision-making: Surface issues requiring leadership attention, clarify trade-offs, and ensure decisions and follow-up actions are captured and driven to closure.
- Manage integrated program delivery: Maintain program plans, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical paths across multiple workstreams.
- Manage risks and dependencies: Anticipate risks, identify cross-team dependencies and potential blockers, and coordinate mitigation and resolution.
- Provide executive reporting: Develop concise, insightful executive-level reporting that clearly communicates progress, achievements, risks, dependencies, decisions required, and next steps.
- Manage change: Assess the impact of changes to scope, priorities, timelines, and dependencies and coordinate appropriate responses.
- Ensure delivery speed and quality: Maintain high standards for program documentation, governance, reporting, and overall fast execution.
What makes this role exciting?
You will be part of a new pilot program within the Transformation Department. This program will redefine the way we work and serve our customers. As a strategic initiative, it will serve as the blueprint for future programs and projects across the organization.
A key element of this project is bringing together the right people and collaborating closely with existing customers who will act as design partners. If you thrive in environments where there is still much to discover and where you can help bring structure, clarity, and direction, this could be the perfect role for you.
About You
- Strategic Program Management: Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and workstreams.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Strong ability to create alignment among stakeholders with different perspectives, priorities, and objectives.
- Complex Problem Solving: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, breaking down complex situations, identifying root causes, and facilitating pragmatic solutions.
- Influence & Facilitation: Able to challenge constructively, manage difficult conversations, and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.
- Executive Communication: Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise narratives, recommendations, and executive-level reporting.
- Program Governance: Strong command of planning, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and governance mechanisms.
- Delivery Management: Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and maintain momentum through execution.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identifies risks and changes and drives appropriate mitigation.
- Project & Program Management Tools: Proficiency with tools used for planning, collaboration, reporting, and program governance.
- Experience with AI.
- Fluent in English.
