Lead Quality Engineer (N2+ level)

A leading global flexible workspace provider is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Engineer to drive quality engineering across its digital platforms in Japan.

This role focuses on technical leadership, test automation strategy, and mentoring, working closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and Quality Engineers to ensure reliable, scalable systems.

Responsibilities:

-Lead the Quality Engineering function, defining the technical direction, roadmap, and team goals

-Mentor and coach Quality Engineers on technical skills, best practices, and career growth

-Architect, build, and maintain scalable automated test suites covering API, integration, and UI

-Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and uphold automated quality gates

-Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle

-Track quality metrics, report on test coverage and technical debt, and drive continuous improvement

-Oversee release validation and production verification across multiple feature teams

-Support concurrent transformation initiatives such as identity integration, payment systems, and access control integrations

Required Skills:

-6+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, including technical leadership or mentoring experience

-Strong experience with test automation frameworks

-Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services

-Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates

-Ability to design structured and maintainable test cases

-Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering teams

-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

-Business-level English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above preferred)

本ポジションでは、日本のデジタルプラットフォーム全体の品質エンジニアリングを牽引し、テスト自動化戦略の推進、技術的なリーダーシップ、メンバーの育成を担当します。エンジニアリングリーダー、プロダクトマネージャー、品質エンジニアと連携し、信頼性とスケーラビリティの高いシステムの実現を目指します。

業務内容：

-品質エンジニアリング部門をリードし、技術的な方向性、ロードマップ、チーム目標を策定

-品質エンジニアに対する技術指導、ベストプラクティスの共有、キャリア形成の支援

-API、結合、UIを対象としたスケーラブルな自動テストスイートの設計・構築・保守

-自動テストのCI/CDパイプラインへの統合、および自動化された品質ゲートの運用

-エンジニアリングマネージャー、テックリード、プロダクトマネージャーと連携し、開発ライフサイクル全体に品質を組み込む

-品質指標の管理、テストカバレッジや技術的負債の報告、継続的な改善の推進

-複数の開発チームにまたがるリリース検証および本番検証の統括

-ID連携、決済システム、アクセス制御連携など、複数の変革プロジェクトの品質面を支援

必須スキル：

-ソフトウェアテストまたは品質エンジニアリングの実務経験6年以上（技術的なリードまたはメンター経験を含む）

-テスト自動化フレームワークの豊富な経験

-RESTful APIおよびバックエンドサービスのテスト経験

-CI/CDパイプラインおよび自動化された品質ゲートに関する十分な理解

-構造化され、保守しやすいテストケースを設計できる能力

-技術的な取り組みをリードし、エンジニアリングチームに影響を与えた実績

-優れた分析力と細部への注意力

-ビジネスレベルの英語力および日本語力（JLPT N2以上が望ましい）
