Lead Road Designer (Temporary Fixed Term Full Time Opportunity up to 3 years)

In this role, you'll:

This role is to lead road design activities that enable the wider Renewable Energy Zone Program (REZ), providing technical expertise, coordination and practical solutions to support broader program delivery. Collaborating with Transport Planners, Traffic Modellers and Project Management team to plan and manage road design solutions.

This role will see you leading tasks and supporting regional NSW infrastructure projects improving safety on NSW roads, easing traffic congestions, creating new spaces to connect communities for generations to come. 3 years Fixed-Term Position based in TfNSW Newcastle Office.

About you

You are passionate about Road Design with extensive experience in the design of roads and related structures within infrastructure projects and the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Highly developed knowledge of road design standards, including Transport for NSW (formerly RMS) standards and requirements

• Experienced in using road design software. TfNSW uses Bentley OpenRoads Designer.

• Experienced leading the development and review of road designs across strategic, concept and detailed design stages.
