Lead Salesforce Solution Architect

About the Role

McKesson is seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to define and drive the Salesforce strategy, architecture, and roadmap supporting our Specialty Health business. This role serves as the technical authority for Salesforce solution`s, partnering with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative healthcare technology solutions.

As a strategic architecture leader, you will shape enterprise Salesforce capabilities, guide platform modernization efforts, and ensure business objectives are translated into effective, sustainable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute the Salesforce platform strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Specialty Health organization in partnership with Product and business leadership.
  • Design, architect, and govern enterprise Salesforce solutions utilizing Salesforce Health Cloud and related platform capabilities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Engineering teams, and end users to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead architecture reviews and establish standards that ensure performance, security, reliability, compliance, and scalability.
  • Architect and oversee Salesforce Health Cloud capabilities including patient management, care coordination, scheduling, and healthcare workflows.
  • Define and implement integration architectures connecting Salesforce with internal applications, third-party platforms, data services, and healthcare systems.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance across delivery teams, architects, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform improvements that support long-term business and technology objectives.

Basic Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, Salesforce architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions.
  • Hands-on experience architecting Salesforce Health Cloud implementations.
  • Experience defining solution architecture for highly integrated enterprise platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and enterprise application design.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy and communicate architectural decisions to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading architecture governance, technology standards, and large-scale transformation initiatives.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
  • Experience within healthcare, specialty pharmacy, payer, provider, life sciences, or regulated healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Health Cloud best practices and healthcare interoperability concepts.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud architectures.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform observability practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and product operating models.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

Working Conditions:

  • In office requirement, we are Flex and Connect with 2 days a week in office
    Occasional travel may be required to support business, technology, or leadership meetings.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $122,100 - $162,800
