This is an exciting opportunity with a leading Space & Satellite organisation working on a major greenfield programme to replace an existing GEO satellite fleet with a new-generation constellation. The ideal candidate will have a helicopter view of the mission and ensure everything fits together for a successful satellite launch program & successful in operations.

We’re looking for a Lead Satellite System Architect or Senior Engineer to lead system-level architecture and engineering discussions, working closely with third-party manufacturers across the design of the satellite platform and payload.

You’ll contribute to subsystem design, lead technical workshops and make key engineering decisions, while maintaining a broad understanding across thermal, mechanical, propulsion, AIT and wider satellite systems. Strong experience in end-to-end satellite design is essential, ideally within GEO programmes.

We need someone with proven experience as a Satellite System Engineer/Architect who has contributed to successful programs in the past. GEO Satellite experience & knowledge is key for this role with thermal and propulsion experience very key in the role.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity, offering remote working with approximately 25% onsite in Luxembourg and significant technical ownership within a brand-new satellite constellation programme.
