Role Description

The Lead Software Engineer – IAM & Auth will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of identity and access management and authentication solutions financial systems and is uniformed solution.

Migration and unification of mechanisms is a sole part of this work.

This full-time role is based in Stockholm in a hybrid setup, combining on-site collaboration with the option to work from home part of the time. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting secure authentication flows, implementing authorization frameworks, integrating third-party identity providers, and ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.

The role involves leading backend development efforts, reviewing code, mentoring other engineers, and collaborating closely with product, security, and operations teams to deliver robust, scalable IAM services. The Lead Software Engineer will also monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve security, reliability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, particularly for distributed, high-availability services.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), using modern languages and frameworks commonly adopted in backend and IAM solutions.
• Hands-on experience with IAM and Auth technologies (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, RBAC/ABAC), and integrating identity providers (IdPs).
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, web application security, and compliance in financial or e-commerce environments.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural decisions in a team setting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technology:

- Backend Node.js/TypeScript is the core

- PHP, .NET, AWS Cognito is a plus

- FusionAuth, Auth0, Keycloak hands-on experience is a plus
