Purpose


The SAP CO Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP Controlling (CO) solutions within a manufacturing environment. The role will focus on Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Month-End/Year-End Financial Closing processes. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure accurate costing, profitability analysis, and financial reporting through SAP S4HANA.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


· Lead and support SAP CO implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and production support activities.

· Participate in at least 3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation project with responsibility for SAP CO processes.

· Configure and support:

o Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

o Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

o Internal Orders

o Product Cost Planning

o Product Cost by Order and Product Cost by Period

o Material Ledger and Actual Costing

o Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

o Project System & Budgetary Function

· Drive standard costing processes including cost component structures, overhead calculations, activity pricing, and cost estimates.

· Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to develop and maintain costing methodologies.

· Lead month-end and year-end closing activities including:

o Cost allocations

o Assessments and distributions

o Activity allocations

o WIP calculations

o Variance calculations

o Settlement processes

o Actual costing runs

· Support integration between SAP CO and FI, MM, PP, SD, and PS modules.

· Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

· Prepare functional specifications and work closely with technical teams for custom developments, reports, interfaces, and enhancements.

· Conduct system testing, integration testing, UAT, and end-user training.

· Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.

· Develop process documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer materials.

· Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 8+ years of SAP CO experience with at least 4 years in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
  • Strong expertise in Product Costing and Month-End Close processes.
  • Hands-on configuration experience in CO-CCA, CO-PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, Material Ledger, and Actual Costing.
  • Experience integrating SAP CO with FI, MM, PP, and SD modules.

Preferred Requirements

Education

  • MBA, CA, CMA, ICWA, or relevant Master's degree.

Experience

  • Multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation and global rollout projects.
  • SAP S/4HANA FICO Certification.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Analytics Cloud reporting.
