Leader Customs Tariff Classification
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct tariff classifications correctly, completely, and in a timely manner, ensuring that products are created and updated in the database and that the requirements applicable to import transactions are identified.
- Manage regulatory updates and dissemination, keeping unit teams informed and trained on approvals, authorizations, permits, and other requirements for importing goods.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks associated with import operations in a timely manner, informing the customs chief or operations manager of situations that could create contingencies for the company.
- Coordinate tariff classification priorities with the customs managers of each unit, ensuring compliance with established timelines and the effective handling of operational requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement and control of tariff management by optimizing work methodologies, tools, and information systems, and ensuring the traceability of changes to subheadings and applicable requirements.
Your Profile
- Education: Technician, Technologist, or Professional in Foreign Trade, International Business, and/or related fields.
- Experience: At least 4 years in customs classification.
- Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of customs and foreign trade legislation, with proficiency in preparing import records.
