This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development professional who wants to build something, not simply inherit it. As our clinical teams continue to grow, we are looking for someone to take real ownership of how our doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals are onboarded, trained and prepared to work confidently at Montu. You do not need to be a clinician. What we need is someone who really understands learning, knows how to engage experienced professionals and can take complex systems, processes and information and turn them into practical training that works. There is plenty to shape, improve and build in this role, so if you love creating great learning experiences and seeing people go from day one to confident and capable, this could be a really exciting opportunity. What is the job? Great patient care starts with people who feel confident, capable and fully prepared to work within Montu’s model of care. As Montu continues to grow, we are looking for a Clinic Learning & Development Lead to take ownership of how our clinicians are onboarded and trained. You will build and deliver structured training for all our healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physiotherapists, helping them become ready to work independently as efficiently and safely as possible. This is a hands-on role covering everything from systems and formulary training to eligibility, prescribing processes and patient pathways. You do not need to be a registered healthcare professional. We are looking for an experienced trainer who can take complex information and turn it into clear, practical learning. What will you be doing? Own clinician onboarding You will manage the training journey from a clinician joining Montu through to being ready to work independently. You will: Design and deliver structured onboarding for different clinician groups alongside our lead training clinician. Coordinate training and track progress. Identify knowledge gaps, delays or barriers and provide additional support where needed. Continuously improve the onboarding experience. Deliver practical Montu training You will train clinicians on the systems, processes and pathways they need to work effectively at Montu, including: Clinical systems and patient portal Patient eligibility and suitability Prescribing processes and standards Prescription pathways Documentation and record keeping SOPs, governance and escalation pathways Training should be practical and engaging, using demonstrations, workshops, system practice, case-based learning and assessments. Build capability You will develop clear learning outcomes and assess understanding throughout training, working closely with clinical leaders and subject matter experts to ensure content remains accurate and up to date. Clinical standards and prescribing guidance will remain governed by Montu’s clinical leadership. This role is focused on learning, capability and operational readiness rather than making independent clinical decisions. Improve and scale training You will use feedback, data and operational insight to make onboarding faster, clearer and more effective as Montu grows. This will include developing training materials and learning pathways, maintaining a central source of training content and supporting refresher training and the rollout of new systems and processes. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone with: Strong experience in training, learning and development, onboarding or operational enablement. Experience designing and delivering structured training programmes. Excellent facilitation and coaching skills. Confidence training experienced professionals. The ability to simplify complex information. Strong organisation and stakeholder management skills. Experience delivering systems and process training. A continuous improvement mindset. Experience within healthcare or another regulated environment would be a strong advantage, particularly if you have trained healthcare professionals. You do not need to be a registered healthcare professional or have experience within cannabis-based medicine. What does success look like? You will help us create: Faster progression from joining Montu to independent working. A consistent onboarding experience across clinician groups. Fewer avoidable delays and knowledge gaps. Confident clinicians who understand Montu’s systems, formulary and pathways. A scalable training framework that can grow with the organisation. What we offer Competitive salary 25 days holiday, rising to 27 after one year and 30 after three years, plus bank holidays 5% matched pension Cycle-to-work scheme Opportunities for development and progression The opportunity to build and shape an important training function within a rapidly growing healthcare organisation A dynamic, collaborative and patient-focused working environment About Montu Montu UK is a leading digital health company specialising in cannabis-based medicines. We are committed to transforming lives by improving access to safe, effective treatments and delivering an exceptional standard of patient care. As we continue to grow, ensuring everyone joining our clinical teams receives consistent, high-quality training will be fundamental to maintaining the quality of our service. This role will play a central part in making that happen.
