The Role

The Learning Designer reports to the Education Manager and is a core part of the Education team at Jomablue. This role exists to build the instructional design capacity the team needs as the business scales — owning course development, LMS management, and learning structure across multiple workstreams including product enablement, Sales, HR, and internal AI capability building.

You will work closely with the Education Manager and the Product Enablement Specialist to turn product knowledge and subject matter expertise into structured, high-quality learning experiences. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes real satisfaction in building things that help people learn.

You must be motivated and passionate about great service. Within a small team, you understand that working closely with others and pitching in when necessary helps our team be stronger and reach our goals. This is a fully remote position. We prefer candidates whose working hours provide several hours of overlap with the Australian (AEST/AEDT) working day to support effective collaboration with the Education team.

When and Where

This is a full-time remote role, based offshore and working closely with the Education team.

Your Duties

• Design and build online courses and learning modules using authoring tools, Learning Management Systems and AI.
• Manage and maintain the LMS (TalentLMS), including course publishing, enrolments, and reporting.
• Track and report on LMS completion data and learner progress, sharing insights with the Education Manager regularly.
• Support the Product Enablement Specialist in structuring and producing product courses..
• Build learning resources for product enablement, including onboarding and skills development programmes.
• Develop Sales enablement learning content to support confident, consistent product demonstrations and prospect briefings.
• Produce AI capability learning resources as part of the company-wide AI learning programme.
• Support HR-initiated learning programmes by building and structuring content as required.
• Assist in the production and formatting of instructional content, including storyboards, scripts, and interactive elements.
• Maintain a consistent standard of learning design across all Education outputs, ensuring content is clear, engaging, and on-brand.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy.
• Support the Education Manager in maintaining the Education content calendar and programme delivery timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of learning resources based on learner feedback and LMS data.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• 1-3 years experience in instructional design or learning and development — a portfolio of work, a course you built, or a project you're proud of.
• Experience using learning authoring tools to create structured digital learning content.
• Experience managing or working within an LMS platform.
• Strong written communication skills. You can take messy, complex information and make it clear, structured, and easy to learn from.
• Highly organised with a bias for action. You manage competing priorities without dropping the ball and don't wait to be told what to do next.
• Confident using AI tools — particularly Claude — as part of a day-to-day workflow. We are a small team that uses AI to scale output, move quickly, and maintain consistency, and this role is expected to engage with AI tools actively, not occasionally.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting and proactively communicating progress and blockers.
• Collaborative and responsive. Able to work effectively with a small, fast-moving team across time zones.
• Genuinely curious about how people learn, and personally invested in making things that are actually good — not just done.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a SaaS or technology company.
• Familiarity with TalentLMS or similar platforms.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks (e.g. ADDIE, SAM).
• Experience producing video scripts or supporting video-based learning content.
• Exposure to AI tools as part of a learning or content workflow.
• Experience working with subject matter experts to extract and structure knowledge.
