The Learning Experience Design Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning experiences that drive operational excellence, leadership capability, and business performance across KFC Africa. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Africa Learning Centre (Streetwise Academy).Leads the strategy, design, and delivery of engaging learning experiences that help people build knowledge and skills. The role combines instructional design, learning science, project management, and leadership to ensure training is effective and aligned with business goals. Responsibilities: Learning Strategy and Experience Design •Develop and execute the organization's learning experience design strategy. •Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Learning Experience Designers, Instructional Designers, and Learning Technologists. •Establish design standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices. •Drive continuous improvement through emerging learning trends, technologies, and methodologies. •Lead the development and implementation of learning experience design standards. •Translate business requirements into effective learning journeys. •Partner with Operations, HR and functional teams to identify learning needs. Learning Content Development •Oversee development of digital, blended and instructor-led learning solutions. •Oversee the end-to-end design and development of instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning programs. •Apply adult learning principles, learning science, and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking). •Ensure learning solutions are engaging, accessible, inclusive, and aligned with business needs. •Guide the creation of interactive e-learning, videos, simulations, job aids, and performance support resources. •Ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness of learning content. Learning Technology and Innovation •Drive effective utilization of LMS and learning technologies. •Oversee the effective use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and digital authoring tools. •Evaluate and recommend new learning technologies to enhance learner engagement and business outcomes. •Champion innovative and AI-enabled learning approaches. Measurement and Analytics •Monitor learning effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement. •Develop evaluation strategies using models such as Kirkpatrick and Phillips ROI where appropriate. •Analyze learner engagement, completion rates, assessment results, and business performance metrics. •Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Stakeholder Management •Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and franchise teams •Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and define learning solutions. •Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and validate learning materials. •Manage relationships with external learning vendors and consultants where applicable. Team Leadership • Lead, coach and develop learning design resources QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Communications, HR or related field. • Minimum 5–7 years in Learning & Development, Learning Experience Design, Instructional Design or Talent Development. • Learning Experience Design expertise • Adult learning principles • LMS and learning technologies • Stakeholder management • Facilitation and presentation skills • Leadership and coaching capability
