Lease Accountant

The Lease Accountant will play a key role in consolidating lease accounting data into a single system by migrating information from FinQuery to ProLease. This position ensures accurate lease accounting, supports the generation of journal entries, and contributes to maintaining a reliable general ledger for a large, revenue-generating organization.

• Migrate lease data from FinQuery to ProLease to centralize all lease accounting information in one system.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of lease data during the migration process, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and record journal entries related to lease accounting in accordance with established accounting standards.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of lease-related accounts to maintain an accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
• Apply ASC 842 lease accounting principles to properly classify, measure, and report lease transactions.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance team members to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to leases.
• Review lease contracts and related documentation to confirm proper accounting treatment and system setup.
• Maintain organized records of lease data, reconciliations, and journal entries to support audits and internal reviews.
• Utilize lease accounting and general ledger systems effectively, including FinQuery and ProLease, to streamline workflows.
• Support continuous improvement of lease accounting processes and system configurations for a large-scale organization.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience performing account reconciliations.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience preparing and recording journal entries.
• At least 2+ years of hands-on ASC 842 lease accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of lease accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Experience working in an organization with revenue over $200 million.
• Ability to manage and validate large volumes of financial data with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to lease and general ledger accounts.

• Experience with FinQuery and/or ProLease lease accounting software.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 implementation and ongoing compliance.
• Background in using enterprise accounting systems such as Deltek.
• Comfort working with complex organizational structures and high transaction volumes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with finance and accounting stakeholders.

This role offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to perform all responsibilities from your chosen location. You will work with modern lease accounting and general ledger systems, including platforms such as FinQuery, ProLease, and Deltek, supporting a large organization with revenue exceeding $200 million. The position requires a focused, self-directed approach, strong digital communication, and the ability to collaborate virtually with finance and accounting colleagues while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
