Role Details
We are seeking a Lecturer in Fashion Marketing to join our BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing team. You will bring first-hand fashion industry experience to your teaching and help students apply strategic thinking to creative work.
Our BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing course combines creative practice with commercial insight. Students draw on consumer research and an understanding of contemporary fashion and culture to develop brand propositions, visual identities and marketing campaigns. Through coursework and independent projects, they build a portfolio that demonstrates both their strategic thinking and creative skills.
You will develop and deliver industry-informed teaching across modules, assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback to support students’ academic and creative development. Depending on your expertise, you may teach fashion branding, marketing strategy and communications, consumer behaviour or market research.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to keep teaching relevant to contemporary fashion marketing practice. You’ll draw on your industry experience and professional contacts to bring current examples into the classroom and contribute to guest sessions or live briefs where they support the curriculum.
To be successful, you will have
- A Master’s degree in Fashion Marketing, Fashion Business or a closely related discipline.
- Professional experience in the fashion industry, with expertise in fashion marketing or a related area.
- Experience teaching, training or mentoring, and the ability to translate industry practice into inclusive, research-informed undergraduate teaching.
- The ability to guide student research and creative projects, assess work and give constructive feedback.
- Confidence using digital tools to support learning and meet a range of student needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners.
Experience teaching academic skills in a fashion marketing context or using Adobe Creative Cloud in teaching is desirable. A higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition, such as a PGCert HE or Fellowship of Advance HE, is also desirable.
For full details of the essential and desirable criteria, please refer to the job description.
Interviews will likely be held week commencing 30 November, in-person at our Regent's University London campus.
